I know everyone on here is going to be so glad after I buy so that I will stop asking all of these questions but here is another one. Last year when we were down, we went thru a DVC presentation. We did not especially like the guide who talked to us at all. He was very pushy and basically wrote us off after he saw we weren't going to sign right then. Though he did call us after we got home and told us to let him know if we decided to buy later. I had kind of thought about requesting a new guide when we go down in two weeks; but I've read subsequent posts that mention our guide from last year by name and say that he is an excellent guide. My wife thinks we should change, but I'm not so sure - maybe we just hit the guy on a bad day or something; especially since others seem to like him so much. I do have the name of another guide who sold to some friends of ours that I might would change to if I do change. I'd hate to run into our original guide though when we go over and it creating any hard feelings, etc. (though the chance of him even remembering us is about zero I would think). Anyway - any advice - change or not change?

Change. This is a big investment for you. You have to feel comfortable all around. Some times personalities don't click.

This comes up a lot here on the board and I'm somewhat puzzled by it. This is someone you only speak to when you buy in or add on. If you do that a lot it may be important, otherwise you really don't deal with them again. They are salesman. They can't make "deals" so one can't do anything another can't. If you're uncomfortable, just get another one, I don't think it's a big deal.

Chances are he won't even remember you. And don't forget to tell whom ever you buy from that your friend referred you. At least they will get something out of it. Regards, Rich

You will be in the computer with the guide you saw. When you go in and give your name, they'll pull you up.

We have worked with different guides at various times due to our guide being unavailable. It doesn't seem to make much difference. You should call and ask for a different guide if you are not happy.:smooth:

Go see Mary at Boardwalk. When we bought 5/6 years ago, she was our "real estate agent". She is absolutely fabulous! She even calls us (still) to check to see how we're doing. How many people do you know who actually take the time out of their schedules to do that?!

There are two things my husband and I make a rule when buying any large purchase.
1) Go with your gut feeling. That inner voice is mostly right.
2) It's your money, your purchase, your investment; do what's best for you.

The guide is there to provide customer service, if you're not comfortable, ask for another customer service person. Disney wouldn't be happy losing a sale because of a personality problem.

We work to hard to earn our money not to feel comfortable when spending it. I wish you many happy vacations as a new DVC member. I'm sure you'll be hearing "Welcome Home"
very soon.
