Called my guide on Sat. He finally called me back today.We just signed up for 150 points at SSR.Took the developers deal.Only
thing is that we can't use the points that they gave me at SSR.We aren't going until July 2005.So we will have 300 points to use.Now where should I try to book at?My use year will be March.When can I book my trip?I see I'm going to have lots of question.I know all of you guys will help answer them. You all have been so helpful already.Thanks Alot

You should be able to book next month at SSR for a July 2005 trip. If you choose to try to stay elsewhere you will need to wait until Dec.

To add to John's post, your use year has nothing to do with when you can call to make a reservation. If you will be using your SSR points for the reservation, you can call 11 months ahead of your check out date to stay at SSR and 7 months ahead of check out if you want to stay at one of the other DVC resorts.

If you are going to use the developer points (which cannot be used for SSR according to my understanding of the incentive deal), you may call 11 months ahead of check out - won't matter for these points which DVC resort you choose.

To be sure, either call your guide or MS.

Congrats ticketwm35!!! Sounds like we got the same deal, we signed on Monday. We were going to try to use our dev. points for our Oct. trip & cancel our Poly res., but with the food & wine fest. everything was booked, we'll probably use them for Hilton Head in June.
