OK, I have never actually spoken to my guide. I bought a resale and did my add on in person and he was not there. So... I called him today to see about an add on at BCV and he has not called back. I guess my question is what is the normal turn around for calls and at what point should I get upset!

Thanks!

Thanks!

My DVC Guide just called me on Thursday to Welcome Me Home. Thursday was my closing day so I am as official a member as it gets.

My Guide did tell me that the they are doing their best to return all phone calls promptly, but life is extremely hectic for a DVC Guide these days. My Guide's voice mail message even prompts callers to leave a phone number where they can be reached during the evening hours so he can return phone calls. So, it appears that the guides are even making return phone calls on their own time during the evening hours.

I would give your guide 24 hours to return your phone call as long as their VM message did not indicate that he/she would be out for an extended period of time. If you do not receive a return phone call within 24 hours, just call him/her again. With the 100's of phone calls they are receiving each day, it is possible that some phone messages will be missed. Just call again, indicating that this is your 2nd phone call and I am sure your guide will get back to you ASAP.

Another issue might be that the guides days off do rotate and are not always Sat / Sun.

Thanks guys. My guides voice mail did say that he was in today , but who knows he could be like me and not always update it! I gave him my cell phone number also since I normally have it with me.

hi: yes, call backs sometimes take a bit longer when they're busy. when we added on at bwv before it sold out, my guide called me back from her home about 1-1/2 days after i left a message. she apologized for being so busy. she usually can return a phone call within hours if she's working that day.

I spoke to my guide over the weekend and the subject of hiring freezes came up and he said DVC is no acception. Since the demand is high for BCV and sales are good they are doing the job with less guides and spending more time doing tours. They also rotate weekends so you have to be patient with your guides calling back.

I just want to add that when I called my guide last week, I reached a message saying he'd be out of the office for the next few days on vacation, and saying that if we dialed 0 we'd be transferred to another guide who was covering for him. But when we were transferred, we heard another vacation message from the second guide, with no further referral number!@ Just a mite aggravating....Judy

Hey gang....
Hang in there. I know my sales rep, Joan, has been extremly busy. There was a recent post that talked about people waiting in line to purchase BCV. We just added more points today....what the heck am I thinking:rolleyes: It does seem as though the reps have been real busy - but remember you are trying to buy your own piece of the most magical place on earth...:jester:

My guide did call me this afternoon. I did a 100 point add on. This was WAY too easy, just give him the Credit Card Number and you are off! So I now own 100 points at BCV, 50 at HH and 150 at OKW and I am a single female. I know this makes so sense!

Well....I requested some information and was then told I would have to speak to my guide because I had a question on financing and Use Years. They said he would call me the next day since he was off that day.....that's going on about two weeks now.

He's a guide who must have inherited me -- I guess sales must be good since he's made no effort to call. In fact, I didn't know his name until this phone call. If I actually decide to buy my first request will be for a new guide. ;)

We directed friends of ours to our guide several months ago and now that they have seen BCV, they are hooked! They gave her a call and she called them back a few hours later, from home, on her day off. She said that they have been completely swamped, processing over $1M/DAY since BCV became available for sale. Any predictions when it will sell out? Maybe before the price goes up!

I have to add to the list of people telling you to be patient. (but you should get a call-back sooner than two weeks-that's just courtesy!) My guide told me that his call back list leading up to BVC being available for sale was over 500 people (!) and that most guides had lists between 50 and 100 people to call back. That's not counting people calling in who were not on the lists. I guess that's why my paperwork hasn't come in yet.:D
