I like the formatting and info in the Disney Passporter books. But things change so quickly you HAVE to supplement with online sources of information. The Passporter books become souvenir books or memory books because of the way they are designed. I take it with me and jot down notes on each day of our trip and then revisit that when I start planning our next trip.
My favorite is Passporter and I've always gotten a new one for each trip, but sadly, bc of how outdated it can get, I'm not going to buy one for my June 2017 trip. I'd rather use online resources.
The Unofficial Guide. Very honest and thorough, with a lot of behind the scenes info and tips. It's really funny to read too I don't buy one every year, but I have bought multiple, especially when something really new comes out, like FP+.
I have never bought a guide book ( I have been given ones before) I find they were out dated before I got them ( new) and I go too often that I really do not need then going 3 times in the next 27 days ) I find that the DIS bards are more up to date and free,
I like Passporters because it can become a souvenir after the trip. I haven't bought one the last few trips because I've become familiar enough with the parks I don't need a guide book. And I'd rather have a different kind of souvenir for my trips. I did find them handy even if they were outdated by the time of the trip.
