Greetings,
I am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction!! Since I live in Central Florida and work part time for Disney my fiance and I have decided on a 6 night trip to London and Paris for our upcoming honeymoon. We will be leaving Orlando April 3rd!! I really need some AWESOME websites for planning purposes. The room and airfare will be taken care of soon so now we just need to begin planning!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What help would you like? Places to stay, things to do? Are you planning to visit DLP? If you tell us a little about the things you like then we would love to help you plan.

Ideally we would like to visit all the "famous" spots and DLP if there is time. We will have 3 nights in London and 3 nights in Paris. We are truly open to suggestions and planning guidelines and help. This is his first time out of the country and I want it to be awesome.

Here are a few websites for visiting London, including the official London website and London transport: :goodvibes

Can I suggest for info on DLP, that you pay a visit to our DLP boards where you will find loads of information and plenty of people who can help you on visting Disneyland Paris,Including the parks, hotels and transport. I have put the link below for you: :teeth:

Your trip sounds wonderful, have a lovely Honeymoon

Beecause you live in Florida & only have 3 nights inParis I wouldn't bother visiting DLP & that's advice from some-one who loves it.

Paris is such a beautiful special city with so much to see & I presume so different from home it would be a shame to miss a day there.

And romantic especially for honeymooners.

Thats just IMHO!!

The underground - Paris metro is easy to use plus Paris is an easy city to walk around.

Don't miss a trip up the Eiffel Tower the best time to go is around tea-time -early evening. The crowds are much less then. Then stay up there till dark when all the Parisian monuments are lit up, it's a great sight.

You can also walk up the Arch de triompe (spell?) which again gives you a great but different view.

I agree. Going to DLP would be a waste of a day when you're there for such a short time.
I also agree with the suggestions of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. Both are definitely worth a visit to the top.

Also, if your'e visiting the Arc de Triomphe, you can walk from there down the Champs Elysee, a magnificent street that was made for walking....one of the most magnificent streets to walk on anyway in the world...

i think that there is also an open-top double decker bus in paris, but i've never been on it...but it might be a good way to get a view of the whole city...

personally i never ride the metro in paris....i much prefer to walk around.....(i also never ride the tube in London - call me crazy)....

if you like museums, there are many to choose from. My favorites are the Louvre, the garden of the Rodin (where his sculptures are - like The Thinker), and the Orsay (Musée d'Orsay - there are some beautiful paintings by Monet, Renoir, Degas, Van Gogh, etc here....).....

Both Paris and London are stunningly beautiful cities. They really take my breath away.

I would add that if you are disney mad and want to go to DLP do go as it is a beautiful park. I did not have long in California and do not regret going to Disneyland (before they added the the other park) and I know there is plenty to do on the west coast of USA other than Disney and would go again.

I am Disney mad and want to visit Hong Kong and Tokoyo too just for Disney but be prepared to be disappointed as DLP is just like DL before they added to it. Otherwise I agree with the others if you don't have that real urge to do Disney then miss it. It just seems a shame to be a huge Disney fan and to go to Paris and not to Disneyland Paris.

Have a great time.

If I had three nights in Paris with someone who had never been before I would take them to:

- The Eiffel Tower. Go all the way up (I'd recommend the lift!) and admire the view - it's truly stunning. There is also a post office on the first floor, where your postcards get a special Eiffel Tower stamp. I wouldn't bother with the restaurants in the tower themselves, unless you feel like spending some serious money. Oh, and you'd need to book ahead.

- Arc de Triomphe. Walk to the top and check out the view of the city - especially the Champs Elysees. Very pretty. The tomb of the unknown soldier doesn't do much for me, but plenty of people like to see it.

- Musee du Louvre. Decide what you want to see in advance, you have no chance of seeing everything. Seriously. Mona Lisa and Venus di Milo are the things most people "must" see.

- Sacre-Coeur and Montmartre. Gorgeous church, stunning views over the city. The steps are a popular spot for young people in the evenings. The cafes are horrendously overpriced but a nice spot for a coffee.

- Notre Dame and Ile de la Cite. Both are absolutely beautiful, lots of good restaurants on Ile de la Cite as well.

- Quartier Latin. Lots of great cafes, excellent for people watching in the evenings. Careful where you eat around here though, lots of the touristy places are far from brilliant...

If you decide you can't be bothered to trek around to all sorts of sites, the bateau mouches are a good alternative. These are boats that go along the Seine - you can see the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Pont Neuf (oldest bridge in Paris) Louvre and Les Invalides. Go at night if you decide to do this - everything is nicely lit and beautiful.

If you are interested in shopping, go to Galeries Lafayette right behind the old opera house. The food hall is worth a visit on its own!

Hmm, that's all I can think of at the moment (plus it's time to go home from work hehe) but please feel free to ask if you have any Paris related questions. I lived there for nearly six years so I know the city very well, and have been "tour guide" to a large number of friends and family... :goodvibes
