guests parking at BWI??

My dad and step-mom are driving up from Pompano Beach the day after Thanksgiving to spend a day or two with us. We'll be at BWVs. So, assuming they don't get lost trying to find us, will they just be able to use the parking lot at BWI? We have never driven so I'm completely clueless about anything to do with car usage there. I think they are planning on getting their own room offsite so they will be coming and going. Would we have to give advance notice to someone that we will be having guests?

BWI has 4 parking lots. As you enter by the gate, directly to your left is a parking lot for self park, right in front is the valet lot. To your right is another self park that they generally reserve for resort parking. The other lot is out the back, across the road (I think it's behind the Hess station). All lots are a fair distance from the front of the resort. My advice, pay the $6 and valet park - it is sooooo much easier.

That's a very busy time - they may have trouble getting into the lots as the guards at the entrance kiosk will probably be turning away people who are not guests of the BWV/BWI. (Many people park here to go to EPCOT and thus guests of the resorts have trouble finding a spot).

My advice is to add your parents to your reservation and ask the front desk for an additional parking pass. That way, your parents can say they are checking in (legitimately) and you can give them the parking pass.

That said, the best option is probably to valet park - no worries about finding a spot. Still a good idea to add them to the reservation so they don't have a problem getting into the resort.
