Guests arriving separately for same reservation?

Never done this before...My mom will arrive (by plane) several hours before the rest of us (by car.) Her plan is to go ahead and check into the resort. What I'm wondering is, how will we get our parking tag to park our car at the resort when we arrive if she's already checked in? Is there anything else I should know with a staggered arrival on the same reservation? TIA!

I would assume your mother can request the parking tag.

Most resorts have eliminated the paper parking passes. Your Magic Band acts like your parking pass

When your mom checks in they'll ask if she has a car, she can just say yes and it'll be fine.
When you get there just say you're checking in and they'll let you in

We had separate arrival this past fall and no trouble with checking in separately. When we arrived we just provided our name and photo ID at the gate, and she had done the same. Once we were at the desk we were given our paper pass, but we never needed it. It seems hit or miss on the paper passes now, but we did get one again in Oct. at OKV. Usually we used our magic band when arriving home.

It's not any sort of issue. Don't worry about it. If all of you are on the room, staggered arrivals are fine, and honestly even 5 years ago we would routinely forget to put our parking pass in a visible spot in the car when we got back from a store (we don't advertise that we're staying at WDW when out in public) and there was never a problem. We've also gotten parking passes for 3 cars (2 bedroom villa, 3 family units), no problems at all.
