Guest Test of Magic Bands (Official Notice)

We are staying at the CR staring August 29. I looked on line today and the magic bands appeared and it said today was the last day to customise them. I never got an email saying that there was a test going on at the CR. Does this mean that for sure we will get the magic bands for our trip?

We are doing a split stay also with the CR being our second resort. I am pretty sure the bands are only going to work for the CR part of our trips. Can you reserve FP+ for the AoA portion?

I was only able to do FP+ for the start of our stay at CR not for the beginning of our trip at AoA.

Not sure which one...there are so many.

I customized mine on either a Sat or Sun and received them on Tues.

I don't think we've heard from anyone that is staying at the test resorts that has been unable to participate, have we?

Incidentally, the test invitation says this: "Based on your participation in this test, you will be asked for feedback on your planning and vacation experiences from Walt Disney World Research." It seems they do want feedback after all.

I haven't got an invitation or the option to get the magic bands.

The dates you gave are currently outside the test period, which appears to be roughly Aug 3-25 or thereabouts.

Hmm... I really don't know! I am only going by what the CM told my husband. She made it seem like it was only offered to a select number of people staying in those resorts, not all guests at those resorts. But I honestly have no other info to go on other than what she told us. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out when we are there!

Has anyone heard anything about September Test Group. I been getting alot of hit and miss.

It is not entirely clear to me that there IS a September test planned yet.

As of now, there is NO September test group.

It sure seems like there is a September test group, but I agree it is very hard to tell. Our dates cross over (8/31-9/8) and are on two separate reservations (although now linked at least in MDE). While the bands we appear to be receiving come up under the 8/31 reservation, we can make FP+ reservations only for 9/1-9/8. I'm hoping this will clear itself up on its own in the next 2-3 weeks.

Im so confused. Our stay at BLT begins on August 25. Do I have access to get FP+? I have not been following these threads at all since I never thought it would be rolled out by now. The Magical Experience site is asking me for my ticket number, at least it was before I went on my cruise last week. Thanks.

It isn't. There is a separate BLT test (going on right now?), but BLT is not considered part of CR for the August test. DVC and CRO reservations systems are a bit different. The BLT test is actually the first and so far only DVC-related test.

Oh I so hope you are correct since Id be all annoyed at myself for not booking my FP+s at the date I could have and not having available what I wanted.

My mom is taking my sister her kids and my son the beginning of September and staying at BCVs. Is this a test site that they will be part of the group?

I can make FP+ reservations through September 27th (60 days out), and our reservation is August 13-23, so I'm not sure that means anything yet. We have APs linked to our reservation.

I wouldn't be surprised to see it stay running if the testing in August goes well (or even if it doesn't).

I can make FP+ selections out 60 days with my AP but It has nothing to do with a reservation, since I can make selections every single day from now through 9/27.

So I'm not sure if they are going to wait for feedback from the BLT guests /August guests before making a decision about Sept. There are tons of problems with the app and the platform with a dedicated team assigned for the testing group so it is really unclear if they are prepared for a full roll out or even have the ability to support a full roll out and the amount of guests needing help.
