Can I check in somewhere at Disney Springs to register and get my son’s photo taken the cay before our first park day? Our first park day is AK and we’ve found that challenging to navigate

If asking about DAS, no, that can only be done at one of the 4 major theme parks. There are Guest Relations locations outside the gates, so you might be able to get a DAS the night prior. Sometimes they can do so.

They let people in AK early up to the tree if life and so you can go in to GR and get the DAS before the park opens

And depending on what time you get to Disney you can sometimes get one out side the park at that GR if they have what they need but your son must be ok being that close to the park and not going in

We have been able to do it at GS outside Hollywood Studios the night before our first park day.
