I was going to bid on a Guest Relations badge, but I noticed on the photo of the back, there was no "Disney" stamp on it.
Does anyone have one of these or seen one to confirm this to be a real or fake.

thanks

Paul

There are several versions of the Guest Relations pins and the Hostess Pins.

Here is the search from Pinpics.com Guest Relations Pins

If you read the descriptions and check the pin you want to bid on against the pictures........it may help.

Good luck.

99.999% of these badges you see on eBay, etc., are fake/counterfeit. They range in quality. Don't pay more than $10 for it.

The pin was bogus looking more into it. I also looked at the seller's other items for sale and he had several of them for sale.

Thanks for your replies.

I have a Disneyland "D" HOSTESS pin that has "N.S.MEYER NEW YORK" stamped on the back. The workmanship is exquisite, but very slightly different than the ones pictured on pinpics.com.

I believe it is authentic- I got it before there was eBay. I have some of the fakes, and the workmanship is rather shoddy on them. Anybody offer some additional expertise on the "N.S.Meyer" pins?

Dave, it was my understanding from a long time Disneyland dealer, that the NS Meyer Company was one of the early companies that made the pins. Trouble is.....the companies changed the pins over the years. The earliest pins are marked with the company name on the back of the pins (yours), in later years they only had the logo on the card it came on not on the pin (Pin Pics #4654). Not sure if that change was Disney's doing or not, but I'm betting it was.

If Disney changed companies, the mold used was thrown out and a new one made.

Disney did this with a lot of park souveniers. I collect Disneyland demitasse cups and saucers from the early park days. They have Tinker Bell and Sleeping Beauty's Castle on them. I have 16 different versions of the cup and saucer. Different color and styles of castle, Tinker Bell with Pixiedust, and without, Tinker Bell inside the cup or out.

Disney changes things because they can. Of course we'll spend more money cause we have to have it all. :lmao:

To the OP.......there is a dealer on ebay that will give you an appraisal on a Disney item. He specializes in vintage Disneyland collectibles and he charges a fee. If you email me or PM me, I'll give you his ebay ID.

Edit: Totally sorry for bumping this - didn't even notice how far back I had read into this forum.
