Guest Drop Off...Then Park?

We'll be traveling with a senior who is not comfortable stepping on/off the trams. Would it be possible to drop her at Guest Drop Off, and then circle back around and park the car while she waits on (hopefully) a bench somewhere?

We'd need to do this at MK, HS, and EP. Thanks.

You should be able to park close, because of a disability. Most parks don't have a "drop off" spot right in front of them. But you should be able to park faily close and then you walk, or use wheel chair. (not sure how ambulatory she is)

Thank you. I have done extensive searches online and read that WDW does have Guest Drop Off at each of the parks. (Even the Disney Mom's Panel answered a similar question affirmatively.)

For me, I need to then get back around to park the car. Just trying to figure it all out.

Additionally, we do not have a handicapped permit in our car. How are we able to "park close" and avoid the trams?

Thanks again!

check with the ____ where you get your car tags - my mind went blank on what that is called -- you should be able to get a tempory tag for your "friend" (or she could get one for your car - they go with the person not the vechile -- my son15 that has siezures could get one & it would go with him)

Thanks...we're leaving in a couple of days so we don't really have time for a temp handicapped permit. It's really not that big of a deal...her mobility is good...just has the potential for issues with any kind of step up/step down.

I really just want to know about how feasible it is to drop her off and then loop back around to park while she waits. Or...whatever the best option would be for her to avoid the tram in order to ease her mind.

Thanks again. :)

I don't believe there is anywhere to drop someone off besides the parking lot. The trams roads that drop you off near the park a only for the trams (unless your an allowed Disney employee) to use those roads. Like someone suggested the handicap might be the closest option.

No there are drop off spots but not sure how helpful they will be.

At MK it is by the old Kennel. You could drop off there and she could find her way to a bench. You would then loop around as if you were exiting and there is a sign (stay in the left) that says Return to Guest Parking. It will be this side of the toll booth (you will not go through the toll booth again). Turn there and you can then park and meet your friend.

At Epcot you follow the Green line (I believe)...they will tell you and it drops off almost right in front of Epcot. There isn't a bench close by there but I would have her go ahead and walk through Security and find a bench before the turnstyles to wait on you. You can then easily find parking.

At DHS its right by where the buses let off and should be fairly easy to get back to parking.

At AK I am not sure.

If you have to exit all the way out of the parking lots so be it - you will just loop around and go back in.

I would make sure to leave extra time to do this.

Arrive very early like 60-90 it's before the park opens. That will ensure a close space. The later you arrive the further away you will be in the parking lot.

Thanks Traveliz for the suggestions about returning to park the car (and for confirming what I've said all along...there are indeed "official" guest drop off areas).
