Guest Count Minimums for Wedding Cake?

Hey everyone. I've been reading the Passporters Guide to Disney's Weddings and Honeymoon and I'm at the part about cake and I'm getting a little confused. Most of the cakes listed in the book have a minimum guest count of 50 people. I'm only having 25 people at my wedding...what does this mean for my wedding cake? Will I still be able to get a nice cake (probably just a 2-tiered one because of the small guest count) with my 25-person wedding?

I'm also a little concerned with the buffet costs. While we're inviting 25 people to our wedding, I have a feeling that only 21-22 people might show up and the buffet costs state that pricing is for a minimum of 25 guests. If I fall below this 25-guest count, will this mess up my buffet pricing?

A 2-tiered cake feeds at least 50 people, and all of the cakes on the wedding cake pricing sheet are at least 2 tiers. It doesn't mean that you can't buy that cake if you have fewer than 50 people, it just means that if you want a cake that's 2 or more tiers for your small group, you'll be paying for a lot more cake than you actually need in order to get that tiered look. Does that make sense?

We bought a 3-tiered cake that fed 75 people for our 34-person wedding because we wanted the cake to look a certain way.

Regarding buffet costs, I'm not sure why Disney puts language like that on their menus, because they will customize menus for ANY size group. Just because you have fewer than X number people doesn't mean you can't have X buffet. As long as you meet the overall food and beverage minimums for at least 20 people (Wishes Collection), it doesn't matter how many people you have.
