Guesses on status of downtown/springs?

Hi all - planning my trip for mid-December and I'm wondering what progress to expect at downtown.
New shops? Walkway/bridge? Restaurants?
I'm happy to hear guesses as well as inside scoop.

Good question. I've studiously avoided the DTD area since the construction started. Perhaps a reconnaissance trip is in order.

If you go to the news and rumors board I have updates on the disney news round up thread.
The parking garage is supposed to be close to finished if not already finished at that time. The landing is supposed to open early next year so I would think a few things would be already open in that area in December. One restaurant opening is the boat house which is well under construction right now. The landing is the new area taking over pleasure island. The marketplace Starbucks has opened this past week. The west side Starbucks will open within the next month. The bridge connecting the two marketplace sides is underway and will be finished by the end of the year also. The bridge connecting to Saratoga springs should be done in the summer. On the west side the food truck park will open this summer as well. The new marketplace co op will open in the next couple months that is taking over where team mickey was.
