Guess what I am getting tmw?!

He is a beautiful child. He is so very fortunate that he will be able to spend time with you and have the additional help his little mouth needs.

I am in awe of you. Sincerely. Completely. {{{{hugs}}}}

I , too , am totally awestruck by your commitment and the extent of your love. These wonderful children are being taken into a home full of love, acceptance and appreciation. Continue on, you wonderful lady. The princesses of WDW should bow down to you!! :worship: :worship: :worship:

I just spoke with Beth. Esaie is in her arms, safe and sound! :cool1:

And you know me, I had to find humor in something!

Guess where they do the baby exchange?

Go on guess!

The airport?

An agency?

The courthouse?

A hospital?

Nah.....better than that!

Yep! McDonalds! :rotfl2:

I'll take a Quarter Pounder, a side of fries, chocolate shake, and oh what the heck, it's Thursday, throw in a baby!

Does Disney know that McDonalds is an option for baby swap?

Could be a revenue stream!

:lmao:

I guess that would be a true Happy Meal!!!

Thanks for letting us know he got there safely. By the way, someone compared Beth to a princess, well I think she should henceforth be known as the official Queen Mother of our board!:worship:

Beth-

There aren't any words for me to describe the admiration I have for you and your family. How fortunate and blessed you all are.

There's a quote from Fried Green Tomatoes where Idgie tells Ruth's son: There are Angels walking around masquerating as people, and your Mama's one of them. (or something to that effect. )

I bet all the children in your care recognize you for the Angel that you really are.

Well you guys are too much! Stopit! I just have "sucker" embossed on my forehead, thats all.

As for Mcdonalds.... here is what happened at Target on the way home.

Julia says to a woman "We have a baby. Do you have a baby?"
"No, but I am picking 2 up tonight"
Julia says "Really?! We picked ours up today too!"
The woman looked at me and we both fell to tears laughing. Not only do my kids think you just "pick up a kid" or "go to the airport for a baby", but they also find others in stores that do the same!

Turns out the woman was getting 2 new foster kids tonight (her first, ever, she has never been a parent). I taught her deep breathing and the differences in carseats ;). Then I taught her all they *really* need for a couple days is 2 cheap-o outfits a size over their age, some pullups/diapers a bottle, backup formula (in case the 15 month old is still on formula), cheerios, graham crackers and whole milk. Told her not to expect much, not to plan or get too caught up in where they "should" sleep... the livingroom floor with blankets will be fine, or push the twin bed to the wall... let them be together, they are scared, blah blah blah. She was so nice. I gave her my phone number and she left able to *breathe*. Pretty good since she was in panic mode when we found her, LOL

So, Esaie is here, safe..... He SCREAMED the ENTIRE ride home from dayton. The kid hates carseats, loves peek-a-boo, can't crawl yet (praise god, I have another week to childproof my home), is super cuddly and cute as a button! I will take pics tmw! I am going to wake the little monkey and stuff his belly as full as possible as the new schedule he being changed to is under way ;)

With all you've got going on, YOU GAVE YOUR PHONE NUMBER TO ANOTHER FOSTER MOM!?!?!?!?!?! Because SHE might need the help?

How many times can we say how amazing you are?

I'm just blown away.

I've met some truly remarkable individuals in my life, and Beth, you're one of the tops on that list.

I agree with Rosie. You're an angel. Pure and simple.

So .... how's he doing? And how are you doing? Is he getting settled in? Any new pictures?

I tried to take pics this afternoon when the little monkey was happy. Hubby took the darn camera to work (we just got a new one and he has been playing). Anyway, I got it out tonight, because I had promised pics. In the first one he is stunned and doesn't realize I put him down. In the next 2 you can see what happens EVERY time I put him down.... :confused3

I am *tired*.... LOL

So, here are pics.... as promised!

Yes, I do realize my kids are much more excited than he is....

Oh and I just realized Julia has on her mickey braclet :)

Geesh! I went to McDonalds today and my prize isn't nearly as cute! :confused3

Seriously though, here's hoping everything goes well with the operations!

And as always, Julia and Jared are as cute as can be!

Popping out of lurkdom to say what a little cutie he is! :) I hope his surgery goes well and his recovery is quick and uneventful.

What a blessing you are for these children, Beth! I can not imagine what his parents must be feeling to send him off so far away for surgery. I am sure they are incredibly thankful for the kindness and care you show for thier little guy.
