.... about the dreaded Towel Train at OKW last year, I'm pleased to report that it no longer runs in the middle of the nite. It still runs, it is still obnoxiously loud, but at least now it runs in the late afternoon- early evening. Thank you Disney.

Trip is half over. Room is great, very clean,no problems. Checked in early...10'ish, then hit DTD. Room was ready by 1:30. Weather is great. EMH are a nice addition. After our Cal Grill dinner tonite where we will be viewing "Wishes", we plan on walking over to MK and staying till midnite. This will be a first for us. We stayed at Epcot till midnite Sunday nite & MGM last nite. Oh well, DW is staring at me. She's ready to go to dinner, I'm not. I think she's jealous of this board. More later....

I am curious. Are you stating someone at Disney told you they read about the concerns over the Towel Train here and therefore rescheduled it. Or are you just assuming they did because the schedule changed?

I know many sent complaints to DVC about the situation and complained at the resort level at OKW.

... I was just joking about Disney reading these boards. The Train changing its hours is more likely because I was standing in the middle of the street at 3 am wearing nothing but my bathing suit while I cursed at the driver at the top of my lungs..... one of my less then stellar moments

I think Disney does monitor the boards and gleen info from them, not that there's anything wrong with that. A satisfied customer is a happy one, and this site would provide them with tons of info that they might never get from their various polls.

In the old days, Disney just did stuff and WE decided it was magical. Now their marketing department seems to think we need to be told what's magical. (Members are Magical....Extra Magic Hour....Magical Beginnings...et al).

Extra Magic hour can be in the morning (early entry) OR Late at night....

I love the extra hours at night, unfortuatly they didnt fall on days we could use them..... much rather stay up late, than get up early.

Good to hear the towel train is keeping better hours!

Viking: If any one ask how you enjoy the EMH, please tell them you love them and they should continue or have another round of them in the fall! I love the parks after dark. We'll be there 10-17 to 10-25 so any of those days would be great!!

I have spoken to at least two CMs in MS who know of and have read these boards, this board in particular. Whether or not management does, I have no idea, ut I would imagine that someone in management checks from time to time (they are public after all). And I would suspect it would behoove them to do so.

I know for a fact that DVC CMs DO read these boards. I also know for a fact that threads such as the one last year about noisy towel carts in the wee hours of the morning get forwarded to appropriate DVC CMs by members who read this bb.

I hope they still have the evening EMH in October! We will have a large group, so it might be a good time for EVERYONE to get together at the park!

We ate at California Grill a few years back and tried to in January, but after waiting more than an hour for our PS in a very noisy restaurant where we couldn't hear each other to converse, we decided to scrap the idea and ate a late dinner at Olivias instead.
