Guess what a CM just told me?

I called to make reservations for our stay at POP from January 18th to the 23rd this morning, and we started talking about Expedition Everest. Well he told me that today they are previewing the ride for CM's and that the AP preview is the 26th and 27th or 27th and 28th, (I can't remember exactly which days he said) but that he head heard that they may be having a soft opening while we are there!! That would make me very happy, even though I am not going to get my heart set on it!! If it is running, then it will just be an added bonus to my Birthday trip!!

I hope you get to ride it.....I am dying to know what it's like...DH and I are going in Feb.....but won't be going to AK..we are chaparoning and we only get to go to one park....AK isn't on the list.....but we will be riding Everest when we go in May....gotta know how good it is.

We are going to try and go over for the Passholder Preview. I can't wait to ride it. It looks like a cool ride.

Now that it is being tested by CM's they could open it for and hour or a whole day to do testing .They did this with Soaring way before it opened or previewed.As well as SM in DL over the summer.
Just as you are in that area go up and ask the CM's there they will let you in if it's avail.

We are going to be there Jan 23-29 and I was hoping that they might open the ride on the 25th for the EMH night at the AK. Other than just going to the park every day which doesn't make sense how would you go about finding out if it were going to open on a certain day. We found out once about the Twilight of Terror having a special opening from an hotel staff but it was just luck right place at the right time.

I was wondering this too. I was told to ask the front desk daily to see if Buzz will be done with its refurb (we leave the day before its scheduled to re-open) Do you think the front desk will know if they are letting people on EE?? We will be at Disney 1/27-2/7 so we may have a great opportunity I'm hoping anyway!!!!!

We won't be back to WDW for a few years and I would really like to ride EE to make up for the fact that Buzz and TT are down for refurbishment.

Today was actually a film shoot, not a cast preview. They were filming for commercials and media that will be sent out to promote the ride. It was only open to cast members, but was not the official cast previews

Hubby participated in it and I kept getting text messages from him saying that it was the "coolest thing he has ever been on". He has been beaming ear to ear since he got home and just keeps saying how awesome it is. He really hasn't gone into much detail about it as I was unable to go with him and he didn't want to spoil it but it definetly impressed him. Can't wait to ride it myself.

I'm going to be there from 1/23-1/27, so if EE is open when I am there I will be soooooo excited! This is great news! I am pretty bummed about Test Track being closed (and maybe The Living Seas-I haven't really determined if this is going to be closed or not) so this may be a great bonus! I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Does anyone know if in fact there was a soft opening as discussed. We will be there 1/23-1/29 and we are not AP holders. I see that on 1/25 AK is having a EMH night and was hoping that they would open the ride for it since it is the night before the previews begin for AP and DVC members. I called and asked about it and they would not say one way or the other so I guess we may go that night and keep our finger crossed.
