Guess the wait time for MS on Sunday?

With Kidani reservations opening on the 10th, we should start a pool of how long the wait times will be on this Sunday morning. I'm betting on 20 @ 9:00.

"Thank you for holding. Your estimated wait time is...ridiculous."

I'm also wondering how many people get what they want.
 
I'm hoping it's not that bad. Just how many AKV owners are there? Can I say 5 minute wait at 9AM? I know I won't take long, :goodvibes I'm looking for a 1 night stay after DCL cruise.

I recently spoke with MS about a totally unrelated topic and was told that they anticipate such a large call volume on August 10th that everyone was expected to be at work that day, all day long, and no one could take off. Since there are many people that have bought into Kidani, this may be a reasonable expectation, since starting August 10th they can make ressies for vacations for May, June, or July, some very popular times to visit.
 
Hopefully it's not too long. I just want to book my stay at AKV Kidani in May. It won't take me that long!

Heck, its not the initial wait times that are the problem. Those are usually only 5 minutes or so. Its the hold time when you get a CM on the phone. My last 2 phone calls to MS were ridiculous. Last Monday, on the phone making reservations for a 2BR took 45 minutes!! 45 minutes!! Then I called on Friday to add waitlists and that took 30 minutes! Good grief! Both CM's said they have to physically enter all the info and addresses for each member of the party into every screen. We have 7 people staying in one villa. That's just crazy. Both CM's stated it was a problem with the new system.:confused3

The first call the CM came back several times to make sure I was still on hold. The 2nd call the CM never came back on until she was finished. I listened to the Disney hold music for over a half an hour.

I made a one night reservation today, it took over 25 minutes. MS kept apoligizing, She said, "her computer was so slow." She keep putting me on hold, 3 or more Disney songs would play. Then when we got to the end, she said," your points won't work," I said, " what do you mean, my points won't work?" She ended up saying, " I was going to have to wait until the 7 month window to make the reservation, I said, " this is my Home resort." She said," hold please." 3 more disney songs. Came back with the confirmation number. Good luck to all on Sunday!
This is a MS rep that I have used in the past. She is good. Something is wrong with the system.

The 25 minute wait was once I had reached the MS rep.
 
Glad I won't be calling on the 10th at 9 am instead we will be flying down to WDW!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :cool1:
 
Well, if the call volumn back when we could first make AKV ressies ever is any inication, it's going to be awful!!! I was on the phone about a minute before 9, and still had to hold over 40 minutes that time! There are a LOT more AKV owners now, so I have to believe it will be bad.
 
I just have to switch my Jambo res over to Kidani so once I get a rep, it shouldn't bee too long. At least the music isn't bad :)
 
Yeah, the music is fun at first. Then, after one has been on hold an hour, one realizes the music is on a cycle and doubt sets in as one wonders if his or her call will ever be answered.:faint:

I have to say I really love Disney music but for some reason just can't stand it when I am waiting to talk to MS...or waiting for them to figure something out ! Last week I heard a positively awful update of "It's a small world". Although, on a positive note, it didn't stay with me like the original usually does !

As well, during last week's phone call the CM indicated that they had just started a new computer system that week and they were still trying to get used to it. She had to input all my information and I was buying ap's ! I always wonder why this is when they have my membership number, verify my address and phone number with every call ? They still have to enter it ?

I heard the new "It's a Small World" Yesterday. I have to say, I like it a lot better. It didn't stay with me either. I hate it when a song does that to me.
