Just left the online site for booking and noticed in the last couple of days there is no listing for preferred sites for Dec 5 week only premium . Not sure if this means none are available or the changes to site designations will be complete by then and there will be no more preferred sites?

Also while im on the Dec 5 trip , were used to going in October . How will the crowds be compared to then ? I would rather keep going in October but the wife wants to see all the Christmas lights.

I was there both this past October and December and it was pretty close to the same for crowds with December just a bit more. The parks seemed to be pretty crowded at both times. Of course it is quieter, (relative term) in the morning and increasing as the day goes on. Any increase in crowds is definitely offset by the lights though. What a wonderful and unique happening and it seems to be growing each year. I think you will be very happy with your choice of time.

I just got off the phone with CRO today and they confirmed that there will only be three preferred loops when the transition is complete: 100, 200 and 300. 1600-1900 will remain full-hookup and the rest will be premiums and partials. I got a ressies for Nov 29 thru Dec 17, preferred pet which means I will be in 300 next pre-Christmas trip! Yeah! All that to say, it is not surprising that there are no preferred sites available, they will be scarce.

They placed us last week in the 1900 loop and we were paying for a preferred site. We requested to be moved ....but had to wait 3 days before a site opened up that would fit our rig. I think its ridiculous to be paying preferred rate and stuck WAY out there.
