How much money you think sits on the floor of It's a Small World? You think anyone ever cleans it out? I don't even know where to start as to a guess.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

I filled one of those large beer bottles with silver coins only there was over $2000 in it. there got to be a lot at SW.

I jsut noticed this last week....funny you should ask. I wonder what they would do with the money though.....

I bet they pull it out at least once a year. I"m guessing they net over 5K a year.

I don't know about WDW, but a friend who used to work at Disneyland told me once that they collect all of the coins thrown into Snow White's wishing well & other fountains in the park and give it all to charity. I have no idea how much they generally collect, though - but I know I wouldn't want to have the job of counting it all!

that is why they invented counting machines my friend.

Like at Disneyland, they collect all the monies in the fountains and such at WDW and donate to charity. No idea how much that would be though! :Pinkbounc

Maybe the change they collected before redoing it went to fixing it up for the reopen:confused3 :rotfl2: :cool1: I am only kidding but thats a lot of $$$

Just think how much $$ there was before they rehabbed!!!!! Holy cow!!!

:thumbsup2 How true! DH and I wondered the same thing when we were on IASW this month. I would hope Disney gives the money to charity.

I've seen kids at WDW fishing money out of fountains. Not on IASW of course, but out of smaller fountains that kids could more easily reach into. Parents never stopped them. For some reason that just bothered me.

Casst member told me on a recent tour that the 4 parks combined donate upwards of half a million dollars in collect coin a year. Listed off the charities as well, but I didn't write em down.
