Guardians virtual queue.

My experience yesterday (6/11) with Guardians of the Galaxy:

Staying offsite, park reservation for AK, hopping to Epcot at 2:00.

8:30 am - purchased ILL, all times after 2:00 were available.

2:05 pm - scanned into Epcot. Grabbed VQ group #191. Estimated return time 8:57 pm

I kept checking, and VQs were available until almost 3:00.

3:00 pm - rode with ILL

8:00 pm - rode with VQ

So there is hope for offsite guests, and at least on this day, for those hopping to Epcot.

This attraction is operating so well (and concerns about motion sickness potential may also be keeping some guests away), that it will not surprise me if VQ goes away sooner rather than later.

It’s such a fun ride!

Any recent updates in how long the 7am is staying open? I’ve heard it has been at least 2-3 minutes.

My thoughts on why this weekend had VQ available longer. Special Olympics were held at Disney. Athletes and their families were staying at All Star Sports. Families that we know who had an athlete competing did not have time for the parks.

But the park reservations were also sold out for a few days no? Did they eat up reservations and not visit?

Sorry if this has been asked. If you are eligible, can you get a BG at 7 or 1 and then again at 6pm?
Or does your VQ during the day disqualify you for 6 PM despite being in a deluxe? Thanks

Yes, you can get it again at 6pm if you are eligible for the EMH, even if you got a VQ at 7am or 1pm. It is possible to ride 3 times on an EMH day, the 2 VQ's and a paid LL.

Thank you very much! I looked through the thread but couldnt find an answer, I appreciate your quick response!

the population of one resort isn't going to make much difference. it's possible it's just not as new anymore.

Hi all! If we want to ride GOTG during extended evening hours, so we have to physically tap into the park before 6pm? We were just going to hop over after dinner, but want to make sure we're not locked out of the virtual queue. TIA!

No, you just have to be eligible, and have a park reservation to A park, along with a park hopper ticket or AP. And remember, if you don't have an Epcot reservation, you'd have to have tapped in to your reserved park before tapping in to Epcot. It's a lot of work these days

Hmm, maybe my theory doesn’t hold. They could have visited, but not done VQ?
It could be that families of kids with special needs may not be riding Guardians in high numbers? Maybe their families feel many of them aren't up to riding it? Or at least enough of them that it kept the numbers going for VQ down even if park attendance was up?

Thank you! So, we should be able to join the 6pm virtual queue from our hotel? The plan is to spend the first part of the day in MK, rest for a couple hours at the hotel, and then go to Epcot around 8pm (we have park hopper tickets). That should work, right?

Yeah, we "tried" to join the VQ from the resort. We weren't quick enough and they were gone but it was possible. The only one you have to be in the park for is the drop at 1:00

It is an ordeal these days.
Though from what I've read since we were there, it is better.
Ours was the very first Extra Hour night it was open.
We did get plenty of rides with regular VQs so it was ok.
