Guardians Help Please

The FP line does bypass most of the exhibits in the Collector's hall. I do enjoy going thru the area.

You can let people bypass you and take your time looking at the hall.

Or you can talk to the CM near the front if you can take some time looking at the displays. Everytime I asked, they let me do it.

No need to rush through that area if you don't have to.

Thanks for this info. I think if my daughter can get a glimpse of the Figment case (even though it's not much to look at) that's all we would need. Like you said, we don't need to rush - we just didn't want to wait in line 90+ minutes!

We do this in the standby queue, but it is hard to do from the FP queue. You can't get back to where most of the exhibits are. Figment can be seen from the FP queue area though.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I know it's just a minor thing, but when a 7 year old sets their mind on something simple like that, it's hard to convince them they don't really need to see it before they get in the crazy elevator.

Of course, I kind of want to see some of the exhibits too, if I'm being honest...

You can ask the CM at the portion of the line where they split you into the left or right Collector office.
If they do to you what they did for me 3 times. They will let you join the Stand By line and you can walk back through it. This way you can see the other side a bit better.

It was an amazing day yesterday! I really appreciate everyone's advice! We rode GOG twice! We arrived at the DCA entrance around 7:46 and went straight to GOG standby line it had started to cue around 7:30. The FP line looked as if it were around 45 mins by the time we entered. As we were winding through various spots I kept asking CM's how long the wait was and I heard from 1:30 to 2 hours. I was super bummed. About 7:55 we were at a standstill just outside the entrance to GOG. The park did not officially open until 8. So in all it took about ten minutes to wind in the the line until we were in our actual "starting spot" At 8am I started my stopwatch and prayed it was not 2 hours. We were off the ride with in 53 mins! It was so awesome. We were lucky enough to rider switch as well. And while we were waiting the other Mom grabbed us all RSR FP and took the other DD not wanting to ride on all the bugs land rides!

Also off topic, in bugs land they have temporarily stopped showing the bugs land 4D movie and are showing a Cars 3 preview in 4D, it is awesome a must see and now we can not wait for that movie!

We saw that preview and really want to see the movie. I felt violated after leaving the theater though. They overused those special seats.

Ugh, not sure how to approach riding GOtG tomorrow morning. I'll only be there tonight and tomorrow until 3:30pm. The EMH/MM has been switched around this weekend so EMH is at DCA tomorrow at 7am with regular park opening at 8am (I'm not staying onsite). I'm not sure if I should just chance it and go ride standby first thing or wait in FP line. I'm not expecting it to be mega busy tomorrow with most of the APs blocked, but still concerned because I can't get a super late FP since I have to leave the parks so early. Any suggestions?

I would get to the park early. Based on the previous post they start to let guests in early. So if the park opens at 8am be there at 715am. I doubt that the wait for FP was 2 hours, but be there early to be safe.

Now since EMH is happening you definitely want to skip Stand-By for Guardians, just get in the FP line early. Your return time should be before 12pm. Then immediately head to Paradise Pier and ride Mania first, then Screamin, Funwheel, Goofy, and Swings.

The next FP should be for Racers, but if you can Single Rider that then do it. Instead, the 2nd FP would be Soarin instead of Racers.

I'm trying to remember where the FP machines are for it. Are they still across from the attraction?

I haven't been to Disneyland since 2013 and even then had to split one day between both parks.

Here now, they are still across but the line starts way far away, like near the entrance, I was so confused! We got lucky and risked the stand by line and the wait was 30 minutes! Hoping to get that lucky on our last day here tomorrow!

Just wondering - How long has single rider line been? We are going in August and DW won't be able to ride but I definitely am. Would it be better to wait in single rider than try to get a FP?

There is no single rider for GOTG.

Thank you so much for your tips! Today I got into the park just before 8am rope drop. I pulled GOTG FP at 8:17am for a 10:20 return. I then went to TSMM after that, 5min wait, awesome! Then did the swings, Little Mermaid and RSR single rider, practically walked on. I then did some shopping until my FP window opened.

The ride was great! I was not a huge ToT fan, but this was much more exciting with tons of energy! I tried to keep my eyes open in the collector's office and spied this:
