Booked through DU for 11/3 cruise and got a cat 10 gty. Wondering when I will find out room number...will it be when my travel docs come? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
I had a guarateed room status and called about 2 months before the cruise date. DCL itself wouldn't tell me my room number but they told me to have my travel agent call DCL to find out and tell me. Unfortunately, I was in the same cat (no upgrades) so I paid for an upgrade to a category that I wanted more.

Typically you will find out your room assignment before your documents are issued to you and it will be on your documents. Those show up anywhere from 2-5 weeks prior to your sailing date.

We booked and paid for our room Sept 13, 2002. We are in a cat. 4 and have a GTY. This is our first cruise ever, and, after reading these boards, am concerned about what part of the ship we will end up in....We booked through Disney online and when I ask them by phone if our room has been assigned yet, they say no. Should I be more forceful and insist they assign us a room or am I just being "nasty" for no reason? Help!!
Target, don't worry! All the Cat. 4s are great, and if you are in guarantee status it means you will get at LEAST a Cat. 4. There is no way to "force" DCL to give you a room assignment when you are in guarantee status, they simply cannot assign rooms at that point. No matter what you'll get a great cabin, so just sit back and count down the days until your cruise!
Thanks for the quick reply Michelle! I will take your advice and sit back and take a deep breath. I don't know how you guys do it when you have booked 2 years in advance! I would become suicidal!!!

IF you booked directly thru DCL, you can check your reservation online and see if you have a cabin assignment yet. It only works if you booked directly thru DCL, not with a TA.
I started on the DCL Home page and then I logged in with my DCL userid. Then I clicked on the little suitcase above Captain Mickey and then did the 'check my reservation' link.
You can check every day if you want to, until you see a cabin assignment.
