I really hate when people hurt my kids' feelings.
It shouldnt make me this MAD... but it does.
It's a part of life, they need to learn to deal, they need thick skin...
I know, I know. But it still rots!

Other people shouldnt be so mean and rotten.
And they shouldnt teach their little offspring monsters to be so rotten either.

Ok.
I feel a little better.
Thanks.

I wish I could say it gets better, but it doesn't! My kids are 20 and 24 and I still get upset if someone hurts them  . They get over it faster than I do!

I agree.. I feel the exact same way when other kids are mean to my DGD - just for the sake of "being mean".. :sad2:

Oh MAN! I so hear you!! My son came home from school the other day, and said he needed to take a shower. Why? Because some kid n the bus said he was stinky. He didnt even get that the kid was being mean, he was just going to take a shower. I went nuts, and almost kicked some little kid butt.

BUT.. I am fairly hormonal right now, so it might just be me. :lmao:

When my DD was in preschool the parents would sometimes go for coffee and share horror stories of stupid remarks that people would make:
This remark was made to me, in front of my daughter, so many times I wanted to behead some of the folks who said it, "It's too bad your daughter didn't get your beautiful red hair" WTH??? Are you kidding me?? We came up with the reply, "DD is so lucky, she has hair just like her favorite cousin, Natalie!" Then I'd give them the stink eye!
another parent had two gorgeous children adopted from China. Several times she was asked, "Do you have any children of your own?" Right in front of her kids!! She cracked me up, replying, "What?? You think I rent these two?"

OP, I'm sorry this happened. I agree with other posters. It won't get any better. I think we (as moms) need to grow a thicker skin. Cause I'm still mad at that little girl who was mean to youngest DD 3 years ago! DD was over it WAY before I was.:rolleyes1

As far as people saying hurtful things to your kids. I have a doozie. My oldest DD was born with a brown birthmark on her left cheek. It was almost in a heart shape, and she thought it made her special. Especially since she was born the day after Valentine's day.

One day at Wendy's she was about 3, some woman came up to me and VERY loudly asked me "WHAT'S WRONG WITH HER FACE?" :sad2: I wanted to strangle that rude cow right then and there.

Wow. I know exactly what you are talking about. Dealing with it right now myself with my youngest DD. Sometimes I wish I could shake those nasty little girls. They are suppose to be her friends.

But as said it doesn't get any better even when your "child" is an adult. :sad2:
