Groupon issues ... Complaint process

I agree with the posters who say the merchants make you feel like a second class citizen when you use a groupon deal.

Completely agree. Don't know why they run the Groupon, if they're going to be so irritated by them. :confused3

The place I went to, and had an issue with, I followed up WITH them about my dissatisfaction. They had the nerve to pull an "Unless you purchase Groupons and go from place to place complaining, so you can get things for free......"

Wait, what? Excuse me?

I left. And that's how I believe I got the refund from Groupon. I was willing to work with the establishment - until I got essentially got called a Groupon Scammer. :mad:

And up until that point, I had bought a total of TWO Groupons (and this was this past Spring) in my life. TWO!!!
 
Now how did you get it back to your card? They gave me Groupon Bucks, for future Groupon purchases.

No idea how I did it. :confused3 I logged into my account. Wrote them a letter stating everything that happened from the time I got there until I left. Then what happened the next day.

Maybe they felt bad for me that my nails were ruined for my daughters wedding. :confused3 What I am guessing is that they had multiple complaints about the salon and decided to just refund money instead of dealing with Groupon bucks.
 
I will no longer buy mani/pedi Groupons unless I am familiar with the business. I bought one from a business that is a few miles from my house in May. I could never get anyone on the phone. I left several messages, never got a return call. I filed a complaint with Groupon and finally someone called me back. She wasn't very pleasant. Come to find out this place isn't equipped for mani/pedis until the end of August due to "remodeling". I'm going to give it a try, but my expectations are not very high. I'm glad to hear that you can still get a refund after services.
