Group travel - let them plan it?

Here is my dilema:

My DD is a Pop Warner Cheerleader. If her team makes it to Nationals, we would know Nov 24. We have to be at WDW Dec 10-15. I have to let them know this week if I want them to do flight, transfer arraingments for us. We HAVE to stay with the team for Dec 10-15. We could do what ever we wanted before or after those dates. I believe her team resort will be PO. The info refers to trundle beds and that is the only resort with them.

So for approximately $725 pp, they will arrange everything - flight, transfers, hotel, passes. That would be for 5 nights. Airfare from here is $160 - $240 pp. I don't have to do anything but pack and show up.

Or I could arrange my own flight and transfers. I could go down Sunday and stay BC for 2 nights at a great rate. That would give me 2 extra days totally to ourselves.

We were down on WDW in Apr/May. And it is Christmas time and I have plenty of expenses with that. What would you do?

TIA for your replies!:smooth:

I guess I'd just let them handle things unless you just want/enjoy to plan. If expenses were an issue, I would skip the extra days this trip.

Sharoncity, I second what Jennymouse has stated. If you have done a quick computation on all package aspects (that is, the package cost vs. individual component costs) and have found them to be almost equal, then let the Group Travel folks make your arrangements. And sit back and cross those fingers that your daughter is going to Nationals. Have a magical vacation.
