I took out Ground Turkey for dinner tonight. I have absolutely no idea what to do with it. Any ideas? :confused3

Only thing I usually do with ground turkey is to mix it half and half with good ground round for a meatloaf.

How about chili or tacos?????

Here is a favorite of my family:

Season ground turkey with salt, pepper, garlic powder or any seasoning you want. Thaw a box of chopped broccoli and drain well. Spread out onto wax paper into a rectangle shape about 1/4-1/2 inch thick. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese (nice layer) on top. Layer the chopped broccoli and season with salt and pepper lightly. With short side, start rolling until you have a log shape. Put into a loaf pan and bake until done. Right before you pull it out, sprinkle with more mozz. cheese. All you need is bread and salad.....maybe a dessert but thats another thread.... ;)

Homemade Egg Rolls

Cook turkey over medium-high heat until no longer pink; drain.

Stir in 4 cups coleslaw mix (diced cabbage, carrots, prepackaged), 3 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 teaspoon grated ginger, 1/2 teaspoon five spice powder, 1/4 cup chopped onion, 2 cloves of garlic finely chopped. Cook 2-3 minutes until slaw mix is wilted.

Roll into egg roll wrappers and either deep fry according to egg roll instructions on wrapper package or bake in a 350* oven for about 20-25 minutes. (If you choose to bake them, spray tops with non-cook spray before baking.)

Serve with Egg Drop Soup!

I use ground turkey for everything now instead of beef at home. I used it for:

-- chili
-- tacos (made this last night-- so good!)
-- meatballs for spaghetti (mix with egg whites, italian seasoned bread crumbs, parmesan cheese)
-- turkey burgers (even better marinated in worcestershire sauce for an hour before cooking)
-- lasagna

Weight Watchers Turkey Chili - 1 point per cup
It makes A LOT of chili

16 oz ground turkey browned (I use PAM to coat the pan)
2 med zuccini diced
2 med summer squash diced
4 celery stalks diced
2 green peppers diced
1 can 15 oz black beans, rinsed
2 cans 29 oz diced tomatoes
2 cans 15 oz low sodium low fat beef broth
1 packet chili seasoning (I like the hot, McCormick)

Simmer on low for 30 minutes.

I made some on Monday, it will last all week for lunches and a couple of dinners too. I added red pepper and onion that I had in the fridge. It is so yummy!

and there's always hamburger helper!! bacon cheeseburger flavor is our favorite. :o)

I only use ground turkey, never ground beef, so any recipe that calls for ground beef you could use. My family and friends love a baked ziti recipe that I have. Very yummy!! Very fattening (think pasta, sour cream, two diff types of cheese, etc) so only make it once in awhile. PM me if you want the recipe! :)

I made this last night for DH.
Saute ground turkey in olive oil until cooked, add chopped green, red and yellow peppers (I used the frozen package), and one chopped onion. Put a lid on and saute until peppers are tender. The last 5 minutes add 1/2-1 cup romano or parmesian cheese.
Serve over rice and sprinke with more cheese.

It's easy and he liked it!

I jsut add a little shopped red onion, salt and pepper and make turkey burgers.

I haven't used ground beef in years. Turkey is cheaper and better for you.
Last night I made turkey and feta burgers that came out awesome.

You could also make burritos. I agree anything you would use ground beef in.

You stole my idea LOL but I'll expand with a recipe.......

cook it up like you would for tacos and just as it's done, add a can of enchilada sauce (if your store sells La Victoria brand, get that one) and let it simmer for a minute or so. :stir: Add any filling you like (cheese, lettuce, sour cream or whatever) and enjoy. I myself like them with just cheese, but that's me. DW adds sour cream and sometimes tomatoes (when they're not $87.00/lb  )

Use ground turkey for anything you would use beef for. We never use ground beef.

I love making things like tacos or burritos, spaghetti

This sounds yummy, minus the tomatoes of course :p
I think I'll make these friday. Yummy!

I use ground turkey all the time!! Use it just like you would ground beef: burgers, spaghetti sauce, meatballs... the possibilities are numerous! :)
