Found that I can get the Grosvenor at DD for about the same as ASMo for my visit. Actually, since Grosvenor has refridgerators for no fee, I come out ahead by at least $10 a night per room to stay at Grosvenor.

We'll be two families, with a total of 3 boys under 5. How do the transportation systems, food, rooms, etc. compare? Any opinions on one vs. the other? Has anyone stayed at both?

Thanks,

EthansMom

We have done both and each has great qualities. The on-site proximity is great with all stars. The food court crushes Grov. by a ton! The rooms are a little better at Grov. size wise. I personally don't like useing the shuttle system for offsite hotels. If we have to get back to the room if someones not feeling well or whatever reason, is the shuttle there when YOU need it? The bus system at WDW does a great job when were there. You could get a rental car but that's more$$. The pools are kind of a toss up. The shuffle board was nice at Grov. Being close to DD is also nice. We still think that a food court for little ones is a huge thing to factor in. Bring a collapseable cooler to all stars maybe. You could always fill that cooler up with whatever you buy while your there. OR fill it up with dirty clothes in a plastic bag for the return trip home. Overall if it's the same money I would go to all stars. Just my opinion...

All Stars gets my vote if they are the same price. If you want a fridge, instead of paying for one, why don't you use a cooler. That is what we always do. I have used a cooler for over a week. As long as you replenish the ice everyday, your milk will even stay fresh. The transportation is better from the All Stars and as
Badger Brent said... the food court is much better....
:D

I have only stayed at the Grosvenor, but I have to tell you that if you have young children, go with the majority here and book at the All Stars. MUCH more convenient for getting back to the rooms.

When I stayed at the Grosvenor, it was an adult-only trip. It was fine for us, but with children it would have been a bit more difficult to travel around the World. Proximity to DTD was great, though.
