HI!
I was hoping to get info and reviews of the Grosvenor. We are honeymooning for 2 weeks in Orlando in January, and trying to do it for as cheap as possible (while still being able to go 2 weeks and do everything we want to do). I have the Magicard, so can get the Grosvenor for pretty darn cheap (depending on if it qualifies for $69 low season - if $89 high season then we'll just go to POP). I hear they have redone some of their rooms. Also, even though its our HM, we really won't be in the hotel room all that much because we have stuff planned at the parks pretty much every day. But, I do remember hearing not so great things about this hotel on these boards before. Any help at all will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much!

Just going to pop this downstairs for you:):)

So is this a "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" type of response?
lol

I stayed there Sept 2005 just for one night because we went a day early before moving to POP (we live in Baton Rouge LA and it was when Hurricane Rita hit). We really liked the hotel. I know we were only there for a day but the view of DTD disney was awesome, it was so close we could walk although they do have a shuttle. If you can stay there cheaper and I think you still get all the benefits of staying as staying on Disney property I would do it in a heartbeat. The rooms are much nicer than POP although I love that hotel, too (we have stayed there twice in the last two years). Like you said you will not be in the room to much anyway. The reason we have chosen POP over Grosvenor in the past is b/c we have a 4 year old and the decorations and BIG Icons and stuff at POP are nice and so "disney". But we have also gone during the Free Dinning so we needed to stay at a Disney resort in order to get the deal. You may want to see if you can get the Extra Magic Hours if you stay at Grosvenor, this may be an important factor for you, of course if you are staying for 2 weeks (I am so envious;) ) it may not be that important for you to go early or stay late at the parks on those nights. I will be glad to answer any other questions you have about either hotel or Disney in general. I can also email you some pics of the view from Grosvenor if you want to PM me your email addy.

PS-Oh, one more thing, while at the Grosvenor we were offered the chance to do a "timeshare" info meeting that I think only took a little time and they had great incentives, if I remember right, some free dinner gift certificates and maybe even cash. It may be worth a few hours of your time in the early morning for a good incentive. I think you can do it and then the driver will drop you off at one of the parks. Just another option for some extra spending cash or a free meal. :goodvibes

Good Luck on the upcoming marriage- God Bless!!
