GROSS!!! I just popped...

a Ganglean cyst in my wrist. I've had a fairly nice size (large marble) in my wrist for about a year. I just put weight on my wrist funny and bent it strange trying to look out the window using the desk as a support and poof!!! The cyst popped...must have caught just right between my wrist bones. It's slightly tender but pretty much gone....

I had one on my index finger popped by the Dr a month or so ago...he left the wrist one because it wasn't causing any pain....

I have that happen two times. The bad news is it hurts when it pops, the good news is it usually feels great after an hour and takes a long time to come back.

No it is a cyst underneath the skin...just looks like a lump....sometimes they are painful...like the one in my index finger but the one on my wrist didn't hurt too much....feels great now...

Describe in more detail so I can pop mine too, lol. Mine and Hollyjoy's sound about the same. It doesn't hurt particularly although sometimes my wrist is weak (for lack of a better term). I've had the doctor drain it twice but it keeps returning. She suggested I see a surgeon to have it cut out but I keep putting that off. Do you think it's normal for it to be very round and protruding some days and then barely visible others? I just think it's ugly.

They used to call those "Bible Bumps" because, yup - you got it, to get rid of them they would whack them with a bible...

I'm so jealous! I wish mine would go away too... The "bible bump" technique is what all my sadistic co-workers are suggesting. Mine has gotten bigger over the past two months with all the home-improving we've been doing.

I couldn't do the book thing....wigged me out.....this happened by accident...but I'm not sad to see it go.....kinda nice to look down this morning and not see it protuding....
