grocery store

We arrive on Christmas Day, does anybody know if any grocery store will be open? We would like to get some groceries, but we arrive on Christmas day? We are probably taking a towncar and wanted stop at a grocery store. Any advice?

I don't know if any stores in Orlando will be open, but I do have a friend who flies into Ft. Myers every Christmas. She expected to stop and shop her first trip and found nothing open. I'd send a box ahead. We did this for our last trip and it was very convenient.

i found this link that has a list of all of the near by grocery stores and drug stores, it has their address and phone numbers on them. you can call them and ask them what their hours are for christmas day:

Just to let you know... Goodings is the closest one, but it is the most expensive one (although it is cheaper than buying items while on property). winn dixie's are usually open at least until 4pm or so on christmas day.

I called.... Albertsons and Winn Dixie will be open but they do not know their hours yet, I also called Wallgreens and they will be open 24hours and have the basic snacks, water, and milk...

FYI, there is a store near the BWI, called Screen Door, that does have the basics. I'm sure you'll pay a little more than you would outside WDW (ok, we all know you'd pay a LOT more!!) but it may be an option. They are open 8-11.

You might want to call the super-walmart on 192. I may be a bit jaded but I'd bet they would be open.
