Grocery store near WL?

What's the closest, reasonably priced grocery store to the WL? Not looking for Walmart- just a regular store. Can you buy wine at the grocery store or only in state liquor stores?

I believe the Publix at 7880 Winter Garden Vineland Rd is closer by several miles to the Winn Dixie mentioned above and much easier to get to from WL.
Here's a link to that location, located at the Lakeside Village Center.
It is located out behind the MK approx 4.5 miles from WL.
It's open daily 7am till 10pm and has a liquor store.

You should map it for yourself, BellesFan. Google maps tells me that Publix is actually 9.6 miles from WL and Winn-Dixie is 7.0 miles, but, of course, it isn't always correct. Publix is nicer but we go to W-D usually as it seems closer.

Perhaps the one Google maps is giving you is the one at the Water Tower Shoppes at Celebration, that store is 9.6 miles from WL.
The one I referred to is at the Lakeside Village Center and is 4.7 miles from WL according to Google maps. It's a fairly new store, maybe that's the confusion.

Yes, the Publix at 7880 Winter Garden Vineland is the one I am mapping. Mapquest says it is 8.5 miles from WL. Google maps on my Ipad says 9.6 miles. Google maps on my iPhone says it is 8 miles. LOL! I guess i have the super special inefficient mapping programs. I have no dog in this fight, truly, just wanted to give the OP a heads up.

The iphone directions have you go to Vista Blvd (1 mile from WL), turn left, drive 1.8 miles, turn left onto State Road 535/Winter Garden Vineland, drive 4.9 miles, make U Turn, drive .3 back to destination on the right. And that is 8 miles. Mapquest's directions are World to Reams to Winter Garden Vineland.

The one I referred to is at the Lakeside Village Center and is 4.7 miles from WL according to Google maps. It's a fairly new store, maybe that's the confusion.

I would caution that getting to this store efficiently does require driving backstage, which some Guests are uncomfortable with, and then driving on a fairly narrow curvy road. Also, the store has been open only a few months, so it may not be on some GPS maps.

That Winn Dixie store is closed and completly gone from that location.
PUBLIX is a quick drive and the much better store that will have everything you need.

The road is normal width and not really that curvy!

No ... I just phoned them and was answered by a live person. We're talking about the store on Apopka Vineland north of Palm Pkwy.

Personally, I'm always a bit uncomfortable driving Reams Rd. at night.
