Grocery store near resorts

We are staying at the Swan/Dolphin in mid-Nov. and I'd like to make a quick pit stop for some groceries for our room on the way from MCO. Does anyone know a good place before we get into WDW, where prices will be somewhat reasonable?

Had a driver last time, so I wasn't paying attention

We always stop at Goodings at the crossroads shopping center on the other side of hotel blvd. We flew for the first time last year, and i dont remember seeing any shops on the way from the airport, but we just went past DTD to that one, Prices are higher than here at home, but not horrible i guess

There are a number in the area. We prefer Publix, but, there is a Wal-Mart Super store about 4 miles from where you will be.

Get on Buena Vista Blvd and drive towards DTD. Take the right onto Epcot Center Drive. Stay on that road until you get to the 535 (Vineland Dr). Take a right and you will see the Wal-Mart on your right about 1/2 mile down.

Publix is just a bit further down on the left.

There is also that Goodies, a Winn Dixie and several others in the area.

we're flying in and taking ME from MCO. Any idea on what cab fare would run from POR to the closest grocery? Just wondering if it would be cheaper than garden grocer, thanks!

I think we are going to be there at the same time. January 15 - 23.

I don't know if the cab would be cheaper but it seems like a lot of time and trouble to go to. For $12 the Garden Grocer will deliver and have it waiting at your hotel.

If you take a cab and do the shopping yourself it is going to take a few hours at least. Plus you have cab fare both ways.

I am going to place an order with Garden Grocer. It just seems like it will be easier.

Use gardengrocer There is a minimum of $40 (unless it is changed since last January.) And plus the fee but it was so worth it. We took ME. But if I was renting a car I would still love the luxury of not having to stop for groceries! If you need any alcoholic beverages just add it in the comment box, you just need to fax them your Drivers License. This company is above board. They would not ruin their reputation with violating your personal info.
