Grocery store near DLR

We are making our first trip to Disneyland next month and are staying at the Hilton Anaheim. We will have a rental car and would like to grab a few food items and drinks for the room. Is there a decent grocery store in the area that people tend to recommend?

I know there is a Target on Harbor, other then that I'm not sure.

I second the Target - it is not far and it's a great 1 stop shop for groceries, beer, pharmacy, they really have most of what anyone would need.

Again, Target. I don't care for the Target on the south end of Harbor, and generally will head north on Harbor to the Target in Fullerton. Much cleaner and nicer. About 7 mins further to drive. There is also a Costco in that area if needed.

If you need a true grocery store, pulling out of the Hilton, turn left on Harbor to Lincoln, right on Lincoln about 2 blocks and there is a Von's on the right hand side.

Vons.. which is Safeway, they have a couple of stores,, if you get $50 plus you can have them delivered to your hotel..

Excellent! Thank you! I think we'll probably go to Von's since Target usually is limited with fruits and veggies. Glad to hear that there is a Target near by in case I forget something.

There is also a Von's on Chapman which is closer.

Right on Harbor to Chapman.
Left on Chapman. Von's will be on the left hand side about a 1/4 mile or so.

DW and I shopped here on our recent trip this past October. We found everything we needed and then some.

I have never shopped for food at this Target. Does anyone know how good of a selection their produce is? I just want to get a few things like apples, banana's, oranges. The Targets by me have all gone to full size ones with a bigger selection, so I was wondering if the Target by DL is the same.

We were just there in January and I liked the selection. We stocked up on blackberries, watermelon, strawberries and grapes. But they had your basic fruits (apples, oranges, bananas and veggies also)

I seem to recall they had a pretty decent selection. I forgot a belt back home so DW and I went in, and we browsed around. Since we had already bought groceries earlier, we didn't need anything of that nature from Target.

The Von's I mentioned in my earlier post is close to Target as well. Target is on the corner of Chapman and Harbor (of course you knew that already). Von's is just a little ways up the road on Chapman (maybe a minute or 2). You can exit Target straight onto Chapman and head a little ways up the road if you don't find what you're looking for. They had a good produce selection their as well.

If you are flying in to LAX, another option is to go to the nearby Ralphs in El Segundo, on Sepulveda - 2 minute drive away, and near the freeway. They have a great produce section as well as good food and healthy options.

I'm planning on having groceries delivered from Vons and they are advertising free delivery (code on website) for first time customers.
