This will be the first time we'll be renting a car for WDW(we usually just use Tiffany's Town Car Service) and I was wondering if anyone can suggest a grocery store that's not too far out of our way between MCO and BWV - we would like to get "home" as quickly as possible!

2 weeks to go!

:cool1:

There are probably closer stores, but we usually go to the Publix over by the Premier Outlet. Gives us an excuse to get some half-price bargains at the Disney outlet store right there. It's about 10 minutes away from the Downtown Disney area by car. You can find it using the store locator on www.publix.com.

We like the Winn-Dixie on Apopka-Vineland -- just a few minutes from the highway and Downtown Disney.

Enjoy!

leave the airport by 417 (toll road)

when you get to the WDW exit - don't go straight - that is to WDW - at the IB (this is before the majority intersection 535) - turn right - you are on IB - lots of undevelopment land - a couple of lights later - there is the HGVC on your left plus some condod - turn left - then right into the shopping area - there is a big publix you can't miss it.

across the street -behind and besides the HGVC - is the outlet store. You know I need to shop here - I haven't....we go to the smaller one - along 535.

We like Albertson's (we know it as Jewel in Illinois) off of Orange Blossom Trail. There is also a Super Target at that exit

A second vote for the Albertson's right off Orange Blossom Trail. You can even fax them your order and they will have it waiting at the service desk. You can just pay and pick it up.

Another vote for Albertson's. It is where I shop at home and the familiarity for me is "priceless".

Good luck and have fun!

the easiest place to get groceries is right across from the Downtown Disney Entrance (it's also where the Downtown Disney Hotels are located). The grocery is called Goody's and it is in the Crossroads Plazza. I use to be a CP and lived right over there in the provided housing. Even if you don't want to pay for a car service or a taxi to take you there, you can take a bus to Downtown Disney then from there you can either walk to it or take a downtown disney bus to the Marriot resort (it's the closest resort to Crossroads) and then walk from there and same on the way back. The walk from downtown is only about 5 minutes (it's short, but it takes a few minutes to walk across the street).
