I was thinking about making my grocery stop at my favorite, Target, for my free 30 minute stop on the way to POFQ. Is there a Target on the way from MCO? I was thinking of getting a couple of decorations for my room since it will be Christmas time. I figure water, Pepsi, a couple of snacks and some decorations wouldn't take too long. Of course Target can be such a dangerous place:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 .

Our town car service stops at Publix, I can't remember ever seeing a Target right on the way, but there very well might be one. I would just ask the town car company, but remember they like you in and out of the store as soon as possible so they can keep on their schedule. I make a list and can get in and out in 15 minutes as long as the register lines aren't long. Last trip I got in the 12 items or less lane with only one person in front of me and of course she had to dispute the price of two items (she was wrong on both) and then count out 58 cents in nickles and pennies from the bottom of her purse.

I see one at 880 Sand Lake Road in Orlando, looks to be on the way from the airport. I also see a Super Target at 4795 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy in Kissimmee.

There is a Suoper Target 1/2 mile east of the intersection of 192 and SR 535 (Apopka Vineland Road).

While it is not exactly "on the way"....it's not that far out of the way.

The Target on Sand Lake Road is right near Florida Mall. It is not a Super Target, meaning no groceries.

Lisa, you get in the same lines I do. ;) I will email the car company and ask if the Target is ok. The Target we go to isn't a Super Target, but they do have some limited things. That was all I was looking for.

Thanks all,
Kim

There is a Super Target on the way from the airport if your car service goes to Disney via the 417 (South exit of the airport).

The Super Target is at Hunters Creek. Take the OBT (Orange Blossom Trail) exit. At the bottom of the ramp, go south (right) and the Super Target is less than 1/2 mile on the right.

It's also very easy to get right back on the 417 at that intersection.

Forgot to mention, there is a new Super Target that just opened in Downtown Orlando today (the area is called Sodo which stands for South of Downtown). This Super Target is nowhere near "on the way" from the airport to Disney.

What's really different about this Super Target is that the parking garage is located ABOVE the store. Okay, nothing earth shattering here BUT how do you get all your bags in your shopping cart to your car? You put your cart on a contraption similar to an escalator that allows your cart to ride up to the parking garage. First of it's kind for Target.

If you have a car and a day off (and you really love shopping at Target), it might be worth a trip.

I plan on using FL Tours on our next trip. We have always taking Magical Express, and while I appreciate the service, I'm tired of having to go to at least two other resorts before mine. Does anyone know where FL Tours stops for their grocery stop?

In Los Angeles. Target has had to put in a lot of multi-level stores with the cart lifts, due to the price and availability of land.

When Macy's bought the May company stores and closed the May flagship stores that were located in a mall that already had a flagship Macy's, Target actually took that opportunity to get some of those flagships here. 3 levels of pure Target shopping goodness! My husband thinks it was bad enough with 1 level! :rolleyes1

I would hope they'd stop wherever you requested them to stop, as long as it's not a long distance out of their way.
