I'm still pretty new at this and need some help. We are dvc members@Saratoga Springs, and were wondering the cheapest way to get groceries. We've had them delivered to the room(very expensive), and I know the closest market(Goodings) will deliver for $20, but is there any type of pick-up service available(Taxi wanted $50). We would like to be able to go and do the shopping ourselves, not pick from a list.

My advice would be to rent a car and drive to Wal - Mart every time you run out!

Have a good trip!

We always go to the Publix on 192, around the corner from the Gaylord Palms. I never liked the shopping service because we don't necessarily buy the same stuff all the time, we like variety and sometimes we're in the mood for whatever strikes our fancy as we're roaming the grocery aisles. I would think that a taxi would be very cheap-especially if your using the ones on property.

We did gardengrocer.com in April and it worked out really well. They have a great web site, it's like going up and down the aisles without having to take the time out of your vacation to go to the grocery store. We stayed on site and had a really late arrival, and the groceries were delivered before we arrived so that we had them waiting in a fridge for us until we checked in. I would totally recommend it!

in the past we've had a rental car and gone to super target. this next trip we are considering skipping the rental car. i will have to check out the site PP mentioned...
