Grocery Shopping Service

Has anyone used or heard about the grocery delivery service that is offered by DVC. This sounds great! Are their lists to choose from? Thanks in advance for the many helpful replies to come.

The pre-printed grocery listings can be obtained from the member website. You just go to planning and the lists for each DVC location is a little different. Print out the resort you are staying at and fill it out. You can fax or mail the list. When you arrive, your groceries should have been delivered and perishable will have been put away. A word of warning the prices are a bit high and there is little variety. Hope this helped.

We've used the DVC grocery delivery service and are very happy with it. It saves us having to worry about stocking the kitchen right away.

It is fine to use but costly; basically you pay the usual prices that you see in WDW stores (which are very high) plus a service charge. We tend to use it for necessary first night and next day items (and then hit a supermarket). Delivery (at least at BWV) is during the evening of your arrival date. If you are not in the room at the time, they put perishables in the refrigerator. The lists that you can printout, check, and fax back are in the trip planning section of the official DVC Member's Only site. When we asked, they told us you should fax your list about 5 business days before date of arrival.

We thought the DVC shopping was a bit pricey and not much to choose from. So we used NETGROCER.COM to order all our non-perishables and had our tiffany town car stop at a grocery store for the perishables. This worked out well for us. Ordering online took care of the majority of our needs (and prices weren't too bad) and our grocery stop was quick since we didn't have to get everything at the grocery store. The only problem we found was we should have bought 2 gallons of milk at the grocery store since the BWV store was so expensive! Plan to do the same on our next trip! Good luck!
