Okay DIS Vets....give me your wise opinions. Looking at Garden Grocer and WegoShop and the DVC site to order groceries from for our trip next spring. DVC site at this point is probably a no as there is not much at all on there!

We will be doing DDP, unless there is some major change. We would do breakfast, an occasional sandwich, snacks, pizza, water, mac and cheese, things of that nature.

We are a family of 6, three boys and a darling daughter. One teenager in the crowd who eats hourly who was still hungry on DDP last trip after all meals!

Also wondering about alchohal, would like beer and wine delivered too.

Thoughts?

We've used http://wegoshop.com many times with great results. I like that I can be very specific on brands or generics. Marge does get wine/beer. She will also shop at whatever store you request. Orders are deliverd on time and there is a discount for reorders.
I have not used Grden Grocer.
I've thought about using the resort order form but I can easily go to the resort store myself.

Using Garden Grocer for our trip tomorrow. The online ordering was very easy as was payment. We set up our delivery time for late in the day that we arrive. Yesterday I got a phone call comfirming our order and our delivery time. I'll let you know more when we get back.

Another vote for wegoshop. We used them last month and everything was selected with care, including the specified wine. We had our groceries put away with 30 minutes of checking in. :)

We have used Garden grocer a few times with much success- never ordered beer though. I think I will give wego a shot next time!

I've used gardengrocer twice now with no problems, though I don't buy alcohol. My sister actually brought several little bottles of alcohol in her checked luggage -- still haven't figured that one out! The DVC site is a subset of what's available at the resort, so I think you're better off just flipping a coin between wegoshop and gardengrocer and just being aware of what's available at the DVC store in case you decide later you want something.

We used Garden Grocer this last trip. They have a nice web site to select your items. There is a limited selection of fresh fruits and veggies and on some food items, so some of our favorites were not available. But, they delivered what we ordered and when we wanted it. So, I have no real complaints. I even added some things I forgot through an e-mail message. They were very reliable.

We've used gardengrocer as well with success. I'd like to try wegoshop, but I feel like I would need to know more about where to shop in the area to take advantage of it properly since they'll shop where you want them to and you need to be specific about what you want at those locations. With gardengrocer I can just choose from the selections online and know that's what we'll get.

We used Garden Grocer just a few weeks ago and it worked well. I liked the way they kept the cold stuff in separate bags, so it was easy for the Bell people to know what items to keep in the coolers, etc. They even had a package of candy bars separate marked "keep cool" so I didn't get melted bars.

They did miss a few items, but I phoned them and they delivered them with no problem.

We used Wegoshop just a few weeks ago at AKL and loved the service. We will use Marge again.

We are at OKW right now and thought I would post our experience with Garden Grocer. We had set up a 7 - 9 pm delivery time. We hurried up and got back to our room by 6:30. We waited....and waited....and waited. At 9:05, Laxdad called them to find out what was up. They said that they delivered early and we were supposed to have gotten a call. No call on either cell or the room. So we called bell services who promptly delivered our items. I left the tip blank on my order so that we could tip in person. I don't like tipping for something I haven't received - glad I didn't. The bellman was more than happy to accept the nice tip instead!

We expected a call with an explanation, appology...something. Nada. Next time we will give Wegoshop a try.

So, OKW and other properties will refrigerate your order? I didn't know that.

If you brought food with you and were not able to get in your vills, would OKW keep it cold too?

Thanks.

We used Wego shop on our last trip and will not be using them again. They forgot a whole case of Gatorade, but the real problem was that the situation was never rectified. The delivery person said they would deliver it the next day. That never happened. After I spent three days leaving messages, someone finally called me back and said they would deliver it the next day. That never happened. At that point I just wanted a refund, but after again leaving several messages and not having them returned I just gave up.

I guess I won't complain too loudly then. My order was exactly as ordered.

I wouldn't be surprised if they would keep it cold for you. I will add though, that we arrived from the airport Sunday am at 10:30 and our room was ready. I was pleasantly surprised!
