I am trying to come up w/a list of stuff we will want to keep in the timeshare. We may eat a few quick meals there & definitely want some snacks.

What do other people buy for their stay? Looking for new b-fast, snack or quick meal ideas! Thanks!

We generally try to eat all breakfasts in the room, have snacks that are easy to take to the park and have stuff for PBJs for late night munchies. The hard part is finding the balance so you do not buy too much food and not finish it.

Nothing new or exciting for breakfast or quick meals but I will list bfast items anyway.

Breakfast Items:
Bread
Butter
Bananas
Milk
Cold Cereal
Instant Oatmeal Packets
Yogurt

Snack Items: (We bring ziplock baggies from home so we can take things with us into the parks)
Baby Carrots
Microwave Popcorn
Raisins
Granola Bars (Also a good grab & go breakfast item)
Pretzels
Peanut Butter & Jam (the kind where there is both in the jar because we will never finish a full jar of each in a week)

We stopped getting things like chips, cheeze-it's, graham crackers, etc because they squish too easily in backpacks or purses while being toted around the parks. We also stopped getting trail mix because my kids pick out all the good stuff and leave me with the rest :lmao:

Drinks:
Coffee (sorry but I think Disney coffee stinks)
Creamer
OJ

We also bring the individual sugar-free drink packets & reusable drink bottles from home. Much less expensive than buying bottled water or soda pop.

Here is a grocery list that I used for a trip a couple of summers ago. We had 3 teens and a child with us. I used Garden Grocer or one of those services, so I was quite explicit in my ordering. I usually get some nice cheeses and crackers too, but I see that wasn't on the list. I always pack kosher salt, a small pepper mill, and Crystal Light flavored ice tea packets too.

Produce
1-lb bag baby carrots
8 medium bananas-not too ripe
10 medium apples-gala, fuji or similar—not red delicious
1-lb red seedless grapes

Shelf-Stable Fruit Juice
1/2 gallon white cranberry juice cocktail (Ocean Spray)

Sodas/Other Beverages
6 (12 to 16-oz) bottles Gatorade fruit punch
1 6-pack Diet Coke 12 oz. cans
1 6-pack Diet Mountain Dew 12 oz. cans
1 6-pack Dr. Pepper (6- or 12-oz. cans)
8 (12- to 16-oz) bottles water (store brand okay)

Cookies/Snacks/Candy
1 medium package Oreo cookies (original variety)
1 bag (10- to 16-oz) peanut butter M&M’s
1 bag Chex original snack mix
1 bag Chex chocolate/turtle snack mix

Cereal
1 box Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal (regular-not huge box)
1 box Reese’s cereal (regular-not huge box)
1 box Quaker Oat Squares cereal (regular-not huge box)

Meat
1 1-lb pkg Hillshire Farms lil smokey sausages (prefer light if available)

Dairy
2 gallons skim milk (prefer milk not treated with BST, but will take it)
1 dozen large eggs

Other Refrigerated
2 (1/2-gallons) Florida’s Natural orange juice-no pulp
1/2 gallon Dole Strawberry-Orange-Banana juice

We always buy:

Fruit - bananas or melons cut up in bowl
Cheese & Crackers
Bacon - Oscar Meyer precooked
Tuna
Water
Beer & Wine

Sometimes for quick meals, we'll buy premade salads, go to the sub shop at the grocery store and grab that or a pasta dinner needs very few ingredients.

Have a great trip!

You might get some ideas by just browsing the Garden Grocer web site, even if you aren't using them to order. I made my list by looking through each category on the web site. I even added them to the bag to see the approx total I'd be looking at.

For breakfast, we like to make egg, bacon or sausage, cheese and biscuit sandwiches. I usually buy Grands biscuits and pre-cooked bacon. As each of us is ready to eat, we use this... http://www.walmart.com/ip/Nordic-Ware-Eggs-n-Muffin-Breakfast-Pan/14913042 (it is under $3 at Wal-mart and works great) to cook the eggs and heat the meat in the microwave, throw on a slice of cheese and put in a biscuit. If we are really in a hurry in the morning, I'll make a bunch of these up, throw them in a Ziploc bag, grab a couple of juices and we eat them in the car.

We also like to make a huge fruit salad that will last for many days. We usually splurge and buy fruit that we might not buy often at home due to cost.

Tacos are also another favorite of ours for dinner. :thumbsup2

You're bringing back good memories of my childhood years when we'd stay at a timeshare and went to Disney :thumbsup2

On our first day at the resort my mom would always whip up a batch of Texas sheet cake and spinach dip (these were treats for us that we only ever got on vacation.) She'd bring the dry ingredients from home pre-measured and purchase the rest at Publix. That way we always had something to munch on in the evenings. We also just did cereal for breakfast. Enjoy your trip!
