Grocery delivery?

Didn't use Amazon for groceries, but for other items. Word of caution, if you are staying at a resort with a convention/business center, the box goes there and you are charged a fee for the box. And you can only get your box or have it delivered when the business center is open (8 am - 5 pm, if I remember correctly, at BW), so that could be a mild hinderance.

Otherwise, the Amazon delivery was great.

I used GG last trip and had no problems! I even had to take a few things we didn't need off a few days before and they were so nice! On time and the order was correct!

We used GG last time and it was great. But I don't like to do breakfast in a restaurant while at Disney. I don't like to spend the time (when we could be on rides with short waits) or eat that much. We had GG deliver cereal, milk, bowls, and spoons. Had the kids eat high fiber cereal in the room in the am (head off the all cheese at every meal back up problems). We also got bags of apples, grapes, and carrots for the kids to have some healthy snacks. We did not know that many kids meals at WDW come with bags of carrots and grapes so we had lots of those left over. But overall, it worked very well and we didn't have any delivery issues even with the milk. We stayed at POFQ and just called bell service to have it brought up.

We're Prime members and I'm a big Amazon fan so I looked into using that for our recent stay too (first time with little kids in a villa w/ kitchen), but ultimately Garden Grocer won. There were things Amazon only offered via Pantry and thus included a shipping charge. (Plus we typically get bottled water, and after pricing out Pantry vs. GG plus GG having all the things we really needed we ended up going GG). However, we were probably going to need to do either GG or the on-site shop anyway for fridge/freezer stuff so it worked out.

Trust me, when the bellhop arrived with our transferred luggage and our GG grocer it was like the cavalry arrived. I distinctly recall giving that guy a HUGE tip!

I've used Garden grocer several times and have never had a problem. This past summer they even offered a discount if you ordered early. Even with there only being 2 of us I can easily meet the minimum by ordering bottled water and breakfast items.

I'm curious, how much do you save getting GG versus buying the stuff at the resort convenience stores or packing it in luggage? I'm thinking of buying the liquids - milk, water, juice, and packing dry cereals and constant oatmeal for breakfast. when we've gone w our family of 3-4 it never seems worth it, but our upcoming trip will have 6 adults in a 2BR villa.

You can go to gardengrocer.com to compare prices but I usually get 1 or cases of water bottles for a lot cheaper than $2.50 a bottle or more that Disney charges. the prices are more than I pay at home but much less than onsite. they have more variety also on things like juice boxes, breakfast items, etc. Plus if you are in villa I think you will have a freezer so you can also order frozen things if you want. they will drop the order off at Bell services who will keep cold items cold and deliver it when you want.

we used Garden Grocer and loved it, but we were staying for longer times and made some of our meals in the room. Also ordered cases of water

We've used Garden Grocer 3 times in the last four years. We were very pleased with the service and notifications. The order/food was always correct and the produce was wonderful. Definitely reserve ahead of time during busy weeks.

Thanks. Still on the fence - we don't get bottled water and don't usually drink soft drinks, but it would be nice to prepare a few meals in the villa. Mainly I'd want some fresh fruit and vegetables!

I have used Garden Grocerthree times over the last 10 years and they were consistently good. I always have had my groceries already at my resort and stored on arrival.

We have used GG twice and had exceptional service. We ordered lots of fresh fruit and veggies both times. We also ordered lots of snack food to reduce the cost of buying snacks at the parks. Again, we were very pleased with the service both times.

For our upcoming stay I used Amazon and GG. Amazon was significantly cheaper for most pantry staples I needed. I used GG for fresh items. We have used garden grocer many times over the years. Great customer service. The Canadian dollar is so poor right now that I was looking to save every penny I could. I came in about one hundred dollars cheaper using the two vendors. That's $140 Canadian!

We used GG for our first trip in 2012, at the recommendation of a coworker. LOVED IT! We got to our Cabin in Fort Wilderness and the perishables were already in the fridge and freezer! Planning to use them again this summer. I'm an Amazon Prime member, too, and was not aware they provide this service, so I will look into it at least!
