Grocery delivery ...

We used Marge at www.wegoshop.com - she was AWESOME!! Very accomodating and really great at working around our arrival/park day....

I read in The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2008 by Schlinger and Testa about an online grocery delivery company found at gardengrocer.com.
I went to the web site and it looks like the prices are good and the selection is great. You may want to take a look.

We love We go shop. Marge actually called us up while we were on ME about our order. She wanted to make sure about sizes. WHen we arrived at AK she was there waiting for us. Was fabulous

I've also used Marge several times. She's great; in fact, I've recommended her to a good friend going next month. She's easy to reach, and great about adding to the order. Once, when there was a problem with SSR accepting a delivery, she helped me straighten it out as I toured a park instead of having to return to the resort. Very nice and helpful!

You will see decidedly mixed reviews on Garden Grocer. Many good, many bad.

If I were going to use one, I'd use wegoshop, just based on the posts/threads I've seen here on the DIS.

Used gardengrocer. You can cal their toll-free number with questions before you place your order. Very helpful. Delivered to us without a hitch! :upsidedow

Another wegoshop fan here!! Marge is great!!

Not a $100 minimum as far as I am aware of...

I am leaning towards wegoshop for our March 08 trip. One question. Will she pick up a bottle of booze (vodka specifically?). I have a strict 1 bloody mary per morning policy on vacation and would prefer to mix it myself in our suite. Would this be possible or should I just schlep a bottle down in my luggage and order the mixers from her?

Regards,

I am also considering Garden Grocer....can you direct me to the reviews on it.

Thanks.

Is there a reason you use outside delivery instead of the grocery delivery service offered directly through Disney?

:thumbsup2

Just used Garden Grocer this last week at AKV. Ordered online and they delivered groceries before we arrived and left them with bell services (who kept the perishables cool in a freezer). So went off without a hitch. However, didn't see that you could order alcohol with Garden Grocer...maybe I just missed it.

We don't want Mickey to know how much Bloody Mary Mix we ordered. :lmao:

Selection seems better from the outside services. Prices may be a bit cheaper too (I haven't actually competitively priced it-just assume that you order something on Disney logo.....you automatically pay a premium).

Regards,

How does grocery delivery work if you arrive before your room is ready? We'll be getting in around noon...

We had a very positive experience with Marge at wegoshop. We had a rather large order and it was perfect and delivered on time. Marge is very easy to work with and very easy to reach. She followed up after delivery to be sure we were satisfied with everything.

We will definitely use wegoshop again.

I believe if your order is delivered before your room is ready, wegoshop will leave it at the bell station until you are ready for it to be delivered to your villa. Have not had that experience.

We have used both companys. I have to say that I had a good experience with both of them.
Garden grocer called me on my cell phone as I was waiting to get the luggage in the airport. They were already at the resort and said they would leave it with the bell hop.
They did keep the cold and frozen stuff in the fridge and freezer for us. When we arrived the bell service brought our groceries and luggage up to the room for us. This was at the VWL.

LOL!! :rotfl: Good point! I also noticed that they don't have my flavored creamer...think I'll try your place for our first trip home in June! Thanks!
