We're going to DL for Halloween :cool1: and staying again at the Residence Inn Garden Grove. I know there is a Vons down Chapman, we've walked down there for groceries in the past when we stayed there. I noticed on their website you can order online and they deliver. Do you think they would deliver to a hotel? That would be sooo great and easy!

They do. We tried to for our trip in June, but the times that were available for the delivery were very limited and DLH wouldn't accept deliveries unless we were there to get it when it arrived.

Albertsons also delivers. But, you will need to be at the hotel for either one to deliver to you.

What a great idea! I know we were going to get some sandwich things when we get there. I'll have to remember the delivery!

Actually, the Residence Inn Garden Grove offers complementary grocery delivery. Also, there's a Target across the street.

Are there any extra charges or delivery fees? Also, how do you know what to order?

We stayed at the DLH in July, and I ordered some items from Albertsons to be delivered between 3:30 and 5:30pm on the day we checked in. In the 'note' section of the Albertson order, and per the front desk at DLH, I asked the delivery person to deliver to the Bell Desk.

We ordered bagels, cream cheese, yogurt, bottled water, crackers, cheese, cereal, milk and bananas. The on-line prices seemed comparable to in-store prices.......and there is a $9.95 delivery charge. I did all the ordering and payment (credit card) on-line.

The Bell Desk took delivery of my groceries......I know they would have preferred that I was in my room....but since I wasn't, they held on to the items....even put the perishables in their fridge. When I got to our room, the bell desk sent up our groceries........I was so appreciative that they accepted the delivery AND kept my yogurt cold......that I happily gave the DLH bell desk man a $20 tip when he delivered the items!! It still was a great deal to have our quick breakfast available each day.....and even milk and cookies late at night!

Albertsons was great to work with......and the Bell desk was wonderfully accommodating!

Just thought I would share our experience.....hope you have a magical time!
