We just returned from staying at Saratoga Springs for a week and I tryed Wegoshop.com for grocery delivery service. I would highly recommend it. Becca is the owner of the service and she was very prompt in delivering our groceries. I sent her a list a few days before we were to arrive and told her an approximate time for delivery. She will shop at the grocery store of your choice. I called her when we got there and knew our room number and she was there within the hour. She even put up my groceries for me. We ordered around $180 in groceries and her fee was $15. to do the shopping and delivery it to us. Well worth it.

I agree. We had a great experience.

Thanks for the great referral! DH and I were just talking about having groceries delivered the next time we go home. I will copy the info down & put it in the "file".

Sounds very good, and reasonable too. Glad you had a great experience and tried them out.

I checked out the web site, and it looks like the fee for the disney resorts is $25 for up to $150 worth of groceries. Still might be a good deal. Maybe she raised her prices? Or maybe she lowered them?

For WDW, look under Lake Buena Vista its $20 for $100 - $200.

We have checked them out for local delivery.

Thanks missswiss for the report!

I've been very interested to hear about people's experices with their service. It sounded like a perfect match for some DVC'ers needs! I might give them a try next time.

We've never tried the service but am seriously thinking of doing so. How detailed do you have to be on your list?

Wow! That's awesome. She will store the groceries also so nothing spoils? How great is that?!?! Thanks for the tip.

You need to be as specific on your list as you can. I usually left brands up to her if I did not have a preferance. I tried to specify size. She did substitute items that she could not find with similar items. All in all, I thought she did a good job shopping with my list ( much better than my husband would have if I would send him to the grocery store with a list, Ha Ha)

She brings every refrigerated item in an ice chest, so you do not have to worry about spoilage. I thought her services were well worth the price she charged for delivery. You don't need to worry about finding a grocery store, shopping in an unfamiliar store, taking time out from your vacation shopping for groceries, hauling the groceries to your room, etc.

Has anyone tried the DVC grocery delivery service? According to our guide they only charge $5 service fee and will have it in your room when you check-in.

We have used the DVC grocery delivery service. As promised it was there in our room when we arrived. We will probably not use it again though for a few reasons... First, the list of items available is VERY limited. Second, it's all stuff that you can go down to the gift shop and pick up right there. Third, it is all the same outrageous prices that they charge downstairs at the gift shop with the $5 delivery charge tacked on. (ex: $2.95 for 1/2# of butter, $4.58 for a 6pk cans of Diet Coke, $4.95 for a pint of ice cream, $2.95 for 1/2 gal of milk.) To us the outrageous cost is just not worth the convenience. We will be doing a grocery stop or trying wegoshop.com when we go to SSR in Sept.

Aha! I knew there had to be a catch! Thanks for the info.
