Okay so ladies.....I need some good vibes ......I have a meeting with my boss on Tuesday about a possible switchover to another grant project. This one would hold me till end of June and hopefully by then we will have an extension on my current grant which will go till either end of December or possibly end of March '10. I'm fine with whatever happens (including a layoff) but this would be super awesome. I have a fantastic boss , great co-workers, and love what I do so if I can keep chugging along here it would be great. Sooooo......Tuesday.....think positive thoughts for mskayjay pretty please! Englishrose - yours is on its way. I am sorry for the delay. DH forgot to mail it when asked. I am sorry, he was distracted going on interviews for a new job.

We are so fortunate, DH was laid off December 1st, and I am and adjunct professor so I only get paid for the classes I teach. But we buckled down, I found you all, we made the money stretch....and yesterday at 3pm he got the official offer to start a new job with a great new company on Monday!

You all converted me to be a serious coupon bargin shopper. He needed a new suit for his new job (four years of working out of the house, wearing shorts and Tshirts) JC Penney had a 50% off sale, and I had coupons! By the time I was done he had a new suit, 2 shirts, belt, 6 pairs of socks, and a new pair of wingtips for less than the suit was originally!

Fabulous news!!!!!! Good for you all! And now that you've learned couponing just think how much bigger your savings can be each year! We are really into making a monthly donation and doing the IRAs.

Your post reminded me of something I was supposed to ask on here way back when. My DSIL doesn't want to join a coupon train because of her crazy schedule and not always getting the paper either. She wants to buy coupons from Ebay or some other site that sells in quantity. Any tips for her? Should she try Ebay or somewhere else to get the best deal for her money? I haven't ever done that so I have no idea what to tell her regarding pros and cons of couponing that way. Any advice would be appreciated.

I bought coupons from someone on her a while ago and she was awesome! I can try to find her info for you. The other site I would suggest is going to afullcup.com to the For Sale or Trade section and buy your coupons through one of the folks on there. I've dealt with them before and they too are wonderful. she can buy either seperate coupons or full inserts by the week. Very handy!
