Gardengalb4, what a story behind your name! I am sorry you had to go through all of that. I lost my mom (she was only 57) in June last year and I can really identify with what you said about losing interest in the things you once loved. It is heartbreaking. I am happy to hear you found your "silver lining" and that you are so happy today. It is inspiring.

Congrats on the new kitchen Mskayjay! :cheer2:

EnglishRose, I just always thought you were a nice lady with alot of pet food coupons who lived in Buffalo? :rotfl: Your originally from England? :scratchin

Wow! What a 24 hours of amazing posts on here today!!!! I am in tears of sadness and joy, happiness to see new/old members back on board, filled with gladness over the sharing that goes on here.

Gardengal...the part about your grief forum.....I so wish I had had that nugget of information and sharing years ago. I buried my Dad on my 16th birthday and it was the undoing of my life for many years. I have never gotten over the loss and struggle often even now. What a beautiful concept of it being a soup and each deciding when it is done.

Corinna....the next step is the ceilings in the living room coming down, new wiring for that room and the rooms above while it is open and exposed and heat run to the guest room (what kind of idiot cuts heat to a bedroom in upstate NY!!!!!!), replace the ceiling and then Home Depot is replacing our carpets in there for free because they damaged them. Cool huh????

I cannot convey through the computer the joy of having this kitchen project over with. And, one of my bosses happens to be looking for a fridge and stove for her basement and camp. I mentioned that I have one of each in great shape and may be able to unload my old appliances in a win/win situation for both of us. I want to give her a great deal because frankly she is a great person. Fridge is 4-5 years old, stove is 13?? so I told her $500 for both. It would be so nice to have them out of here and would greatly benefit her as well.

Lissa envie went out yesterday. Nice fattie again.

Jen what an amazing envie! It was like every other one this week was something I could use! Just *poifect dahling*!!!! :cool1: Thanks so much. Hope the munchkin and his mommy are doing better!

Okay girls....spill it. Tell us about your handles!

My real name is Karen Johnson. I was called K all the way through college by my friends and many didn't even know my real name was Karen not Kay! lol DH is Rich Johnson and his buddies always called him RayJay so when we hooked up and got married it was RayJay and KayJay. I added the Ms to it cause I liked it! Hence...MsKayJay!

next.....

Mine is obviously after Cobra Bubbles from Lilo and Stitch. He's one of my favorite characters from my favorite Disney movie. I know a lot of people slag Stitch but I love him, and I love the sisterly connection in the movie because it reminds me of me and my sister who is 11 years younger than me.

I just wanted a handle of a character that most people wouldn't think of picking, and I love love love Disney with a passion!

I am Klineyqueen...because my Last name is Kline and everyone called my DH Kliney when he was younger. I am Kliney's Queen.

I have 3 cats. My 1st one is named Rudy. For whatever reason, I have always called him Rudy Rootskate. :confused3

So thats where my name came from. :thumbsup2

When I joined Disboards before I took my twins to WDW for the first time, I named myself in honor of their favorite characters.
Buzz for my son
Princess for my daughter (It actually should have been "Sleeping Judy" what she called Sleeping Beauty - but I went for the easier version)
Now almost 3 years later, it is a small time capsule for when they were five, and brings a smile to my face.

Rats, I wish I had a spectacular story to tell about my name, but I don't. I have been and maybe always will be a Minnesota Vikings fan.....even though we can't seem to make it beyond the first playoff game anymore. I often wish I had picked a more Disneylike name.

gardengal yours is the TOPS for choice of name !! Your story is an inspiration to all who have suffered a loss !! Mine as Corrina pointed out is factual I was born and raised in England and my name is Rosalie hence English Rose !!!Some people call me Rosie here at home and all on the Dis know me as Rosie or the Whiz !! But there is a little secret my nickname is Sam and that's what most of my local friends and co workers call me !! Where Sam came from is another story for another day!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

DisneyJan, what an absolutely splendid surprise I received from you today!!! :hyper: Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the goodies it contained. :flower3:

Gardengalb4 - I love your story. It is so inspirational. Thank you for sharing it with us!

My name? Well, it's kind of obvious . . . I live outside of Denver. We've always been local baseball fans, and when the Rockies had their magical run in 2007, it was like something from a movie . . . maybe even a Disney movie!

I'm pretty sure my name is obvious, but in case not - Hi, I'm Jen, and I'm from NH.

I was having a boring day when I picked a user name. But is has worked on every board I've ever joined.

Jen

My name came from my DH
When we 1st met 13 yrs ago my AOL name was xsred1978, when we finally got married and we combined our lives I needed to make a new e-mail name. He picked it out for me one day when I was at work. He calls me Liss or Lissa (short for Melissa) and added 1978 (the year I was born) to the end from my original AOL name 8yrs prior

Have a great weekend ladies
fun game ladies anyone have a suggestion for another????
