I will keep my eyes open for some. I don't buy it and usually just send them down the line.

I want that snow!! Last night we had sleet. So the roads and everything have a bumpy coat of ice on them. On top of that we only got 2" of snow. All metro area schools were cancelled today but our district was done yesterday, thankfully. With the HS having finals that woul've been a pain. All that cramming, I mean reviewing , for nothing! (It's ok--DD got all 1's =A's ) The teachers got the day off, I think. We are expecting more snow tomorrow.

Schools were closed here today, consumers went into program but were sent home before lunch only they didn't get back to the Group hime till almost 2pm. I was calling the Bus company asking where the ****** they wee ! But everyone arrived home.I heard they had snow in Vegas !!

I will remind you all as it gets closer, it doesn't start until Jan. 29. I talked to her today and she said that the taping is all done, even the finale. She said she was gone for 6 weeks doing it and had to have zero contact with her husband and kids. Even now she cannot tell them how she did on the show or anything about it.

It is my youngest son's birthday tomorrow. It started snowing her yesterday and didn't stop for 30+ hours. We set a new record for most snowfall in a 24-hour period. The old record was 13 inches, we officially got 27. Although that "official" stuff is crapola because it's always hotter than they say, or colder, well in this case we got about 48 inches!!! They cancelled schools for today and tomorrow, my little one thinks they have cancelled his birthday. Most stores were closed today, they even closed the major shopping malls. We did not get our trash picked up today nor was our mail delivered, and we may not get mail delivery for a whole week!!!! No one can get down our street. This is a pic of my husband leaving for work this morning, since he is a fire fighter they can't cancel his work so he had to go, everyone else on my street was home, work cancelled.

It's like he was driving through a lake of snow!
It's insane, he shoveled this morning, I've done it twice and my neighbor has come over twice with the snowblower.

I severly dislike winter.

I can't imagine having to hang onto your garbage waiting for pickup and not getting mail! Yucko!!!!! What you got is a typical snowfall for us here but we are used to it and have the equipment to handle it asap.
