I plan on making a small grocery order for delivery. We will not have a car and we are flying in/ taking ME. So who delivers alcohol with grocery? More specific who would deliver wine or vodka? Would I need to be present for the hand off? Not a lush, just would enjoy an adult beverage on the balcony after the parks.:wizard:

We have used Garden Grocer for groceries many times. They will deliver groceries to bell services if you aren't in your room.

I know that they have beer and wine, but I don't know how it works, I'm guessing you would have to show your ID the delivery person. I'm sure someone else knows the procedure.

I hope someone with a better memory will respond, but I know that the gift shops sell alcohol, wine beer and at least rum.I remember being surprised, and it wasn't really all that expensive. I also made my own grocery run when I stayed at OKW. I was lucky enough that a CM drove me to the store when i asked about getting a taxie, and the taxie ride home was less than $12.00.

IIRC from reading here on the boards, you will have to show a valid ID if you have alcohol in your order. Also for any foreign visitors, you will need a copy of your passport to purchase alcoholic beverages on Disney property.

We have taken a taxi from Downtown Disney to a grocery store & liquor store . Then we went back to our resort.

I used Garden Grocer last September and ordered beer and wine for the room. They require an emailed copy of your ID before they can fulfill your request. Once I emailed my photo ID they let me know I was all set. They delivered my stuff to bell services and I didn't need to show my ID.

I have never had to show my passport or any type of id when purchasing alcohol on property.

That is what we did this past July.

Garden Grocer delivers beer and wine but not hard alcohol. You can upload your ID direct to their site when you place your order for beer/wine so you don't need to be there when they deliver. The stores at the resorts should have vodka but I'm not sure what the price is. Definitely more expensive than outside but just not sure how expensive. We'll actually wrap a bottle in a hand/bath towel and put it in a plastic bag and pack it in our checked luggage. Knock on wood, we haven't had a broken bottle yet.

If you are staying at a deluxe resort, they actually send a runner out to do the liquor purchase for you.

We usually stay at BCV and use garden grocer. I though am intrigued by this - who is "they?" The resort staff? And how do you arrange a liquor run?

Grocery delivery is not related to theme parks attractions and strategies, so I've moved this thread to the Disney Resorts board. :)

This was my situation also. I ordered beer. Emailed them a copy of my id and they said I was all set. Did not have to be there for delivery and bell services put everthing in my room.

Does anyone know more about this? Btw... Love your post OP! "Not a lush" hehe, made me chuckle :)

I will be looking to get liquor while at the BWI next month and this would be great. But I doubt the validity of this post. Can anybody confirm?
