Groceries

Dh and I are headed to OKW next January and are on a tight budget. The only way we are doing this is by renting out our leftover points to pay for the rest of the vacation. I was looking at DVC's grocery list and while expensive, I would only spend about $20 for both of us for 4 days worth of breakfasts. We are not planning on renting a car, otherwise we would head to Winn-Dixie.

Since I am only spending $20 is it better to just go with DVC or are other companies better/cheaper? What companies have you used for groceries? Thanks!

We have an "unscheduled" trip next month to the USSSA fastpitch world series at the Wide World of Sports Complex. We plan on shopping here for all the dry goods and place an order with http://www.wegoshop.com/ for the perishables. They will deliver on the arrival date and the people on this BB have nothing but good experience with them. Do a wegoshop search for additional references.

Other grocery stores... Super Walmart, Publix, and Albertsons.

Thanks, I have heard of them, but didn't know how much they charged for delivery. I am aware of grocery stores in the area, just not delivery services. Thanks for the info!

Does wego have a delivery charge? Have they ever been extremely late or early and stuff went bad?

We used Wegoshop a few weeks ago, and I was very pleased. I ordered things for breakfast for 7 days, lunch for a couple of days, snacks, water milk, etc. My bill was somewhere around 55.00. When they made substitutions to what I had listed, they made good choices. I will definitely use them again.

Wegoshop's delivery fee is 15.00. Everything was delivered in coolers, when they said it would be delivered.

For only $20 in groceries, I would just use DVC's service or pick up things in the store on site. I wouldn't want to pay $15 for a fee for $20 worth of groceries. Honestly, when I looked at the list, the prices don't seem too bad to me, just a limited selection.

They were high for normal groceries, but I guess for Disney and vacation, not too bad. I think we will order from DVC. Just some breakfast stuff. Thanks for your opinions and advice.
