Will be going to disney POR 5/14/05-5/21/05 . We plan on eating some breakfasts in our room and packing snacks/sandwiches on some of the days that we go to the park. Where is the best place to buy groceries when we arrive in Orlando. We will not have a car but thought I heard that some area stores will deliver to Disney resorts. This must be expensive so in the end do you really end up saving any money? Do some people actually bring groceries with them? Carry-on or check on luggage? Any suggestions? Thanks Debi

Debs1963: How are you getting from the airport to POR? If your using a towncar, you may be able to make a 30 min grocery stop along the way. We're there around the same time and will be using FL Tours for ground transportation, with a grocery stop.

We'll probably be taking the magical express free transport that Disney provides. I'm sure no grocery stops included. how much is your airport transport? Maybe it would be worth it to pay for transport from airport and then just use Disney transport when we are leaving. Deb

We're paying about $100 for the round trip. Since we're going next month, there's no magical express.

I was looking at the grocery picking/delivery charges and you might be better off with that, especially if you get the 50% off delivery as a first time customer.

The 50% off is not applicable to WDW vacationeers (check the really fine print)...but still think the rates are really reasonable and you can use coupons too!
