Groceries delivered to resort

I thought at first we would take the bus to DTD and walk to the Hess gas station buy our groceries and then take a taxi back to Por. this would involve a fair bit of time and since we are going in Sept the walk would be hot and hubby has probs walking. Taxi would be about $10 plus tip. But now I have decided we will be ordering from Garden Grocer for our water, adult drinks and muffins. Delivery over $40 is $14. Then we can enjoy our time and not worry about that.

But wondering 1 thing--how far in advance do you need to order? and what if you want to change your order after you make it? Oooops I guess that is 2 questions

We used garden grocer and was very pleased.

Garden Grocer will deliver even if you are not at the resort - it will be stored by bell services. Cold stuff will be refrigerated.

WeGoShop will not deliver if you are not physically there, because you pay for the groceries/service at delivery.

I normally place my Garden Grocer order a month to a month and a half out. (But then again, I tend to obsess; I'm currently planning our trip for August 2014.) I like having it done and taken care of.

Oh, and I've changed my order with no problem. I think I emailed them with the order number and made the change.

For the 5 of us in August, 2 cases of water is perfect for a week's vacation. (Nope, you didn't ask, but I figured the info could help someone.)

Thanks for the info. at least I know that when I order I can change it if need be. There is only 2 of us so 1 case of water will do.

I'm just curious as to why no one ever mentions strollersandgrocers.com? I used them last year and everything was great. They have now partnered with Kingdom Strollers but if you need to rent a stroller, they waive the $14 delivery fee.

Just something else to consider.

I just checked out their site and I think I prefer garden grocer's selection. Prices look the same

You can only order what they have available on their site. With that said, it doesn't hurt to call & ask.

We have used GG and Wego. I preferred GG since they would drop it off at resort and I did not have to be there. Wego can't drop it off since they don't know the prices beforehand so you have to pay when they deliver.

Love, Love, love, GG!! So easy to call bell services when we are ready for the groceries and have them brought to the room. We Go Shop was great when we needed specific items like formula and diapers
